Get Ghost Reveries, despite what Ben, Joel, Will and Brian will tell you

Get Stll Life first.
That's what I was planning on getting first.  If there's anything that impresses me about Opeth, though, is their apparent consistency.  And their love for Comus.

As great as Still Life is, it surprises me greatly that it's the highest-rated Opeth album on this site.

You'll be breeeeing out of your butt for days now.
The growls were actually quite enjoyable.  I liked them more than the "normal" vocals.

All I have is Damnation, which has no growling.

However, I have the latest album from Between the Buried and Me, and it is loaded with growling and quite excellent.  Four stars I gave it.

The Great Misdirect is indeed excellent.

I'm a big fan of heaviness and catharsis in music, so that's probably why I like them.

Nah, Still Life is better than MAYH. I think that Watershed is better than Still Life, actually.

There definitely isn't any catharsis in Meshuggah. LOL

MAYH interests me because it's taken from the Comus song "Drip Drip."  I'm listening to a song from it ("When") at the moment.

Hey, GR isn't all bad (that with Still Life) were one of the albums that finally got me into Opeth, but I'd still say it's their weakest overall.

Lol Colin, Ivan's post in the Yes thread are hilarious.

"When" is an absolutely amazing masterpiece and one of their best songs.

I can see why he can get on people's nerves sometimes.  I thought the re-match would please everyone, but no, Genesis voters would be less likely to vote because of the original match and *gasp* they might lose.Angry
