Apparently I didn't have permission to post what I wrote before Other than that I've been fine Doing a ton of work for MMA recently and spending a lot of time over there, I started missing all you shredders yesterday and I'll try to stick around better from now on.

From my experience, most "moshers" are high school kids. Dumb f**ks that they are.

Glad you did
I've felt bad a lot of times for not doing sh*t at MMA, but recently I've fixed several complete discographies, including the 80 something compilations of Uriah Heep. Sometimes it's fun and sometimes I couldn't care less, that's just how it goes.

I was doing good for a while, was fixing a lot of bands. I did a good amount of work with post metal bands, but then Kevin and Colin came along and I got lazy. Then they ended up doing a lot of work with it and I was like f**k, ok.

Yup, dumbass moshers. PT songs go from heavy to slow so much, it was hilarious. Like the riff at the beginning of Blackest Eyes, all the moshers went nuts. Than came the verse.. and they all just stood there bewildered.

HAHA! It does make sense, I've seen/heard of moshes at concerts that made no sense. Guess it really is for the sake of it! Silly 16 year olds. Besides, soooooo cliche. I'm way to post for that. Unless it's the Wall of Death, which is always acceptable. I saw one attempt, but it was a miserable failure

I only mosh for like the last 10-15 minutes of a show, most of the time it's headbanging for me. I'll mosh for longer if it's an awesome setlist/I feel like it at the time.

I agree with this to some extent, although I have plenty of friends (one who was dux of his high school) who moshed with us today at the show.

Yeah, they did that at the PT show I went to as well. Some sh*thead was pushing me and headbanging whilst they were playing I Drive The Hearse

If I see anyone mosh at Agalloch I swear I will kill them. And at least it's better than my friend who saw NIN ( ) and said the whole crowd was "goths" and sh*t like that, that were standing still and started moving in some rhythmic swaying motion in unison. f**kin weirdo wannabes

Haha! That's ridiculous. I think he played I Drive the Hearse to calm every one the hell down. the wall of DEATH!! Pretty dumb idea. I'm sure there's easier ways to play chicken with death.

Wall of death is honestly way too ridiculous. It basically takes away from the idea that you can mosh without beating the sh*t out of people, although I guess for a lot of people that's the idea. Circle pit is much more my style.

NIN is great! If you can stand Reznors self loathing, whiny lyrics..

Oh the Wall of Death is incredibly stupid, but god if people are gunna go f**king nuts I say go balls out. Besides, I was standing on a hill right by a fence, so I started recording it hoping for total carnage, thus why I was so sad when only like 5 people broke out and kinda thrashed around for a few seconds before stopping. Oh lord Joel, I got pushed into a circle pit once...ended up writing a small thing back on xanga or some sh*t about the dynamics and motion of the circle pit. Every time I managed to fight to the outer edge I got moved back into it

For the record Joel, that wall of death attempt was started by a METALCORE band

Most metalcore/hardcore bands here work the crowd really well, although the opener (Prospects) who are normally f**king amazing were about half as into it as usual when everyone was just standing around. Got myself a mic grab during their set which was nice, got my screamz on. Time Has Come (a local band who are pretty f**king big) played their last ever show with their first/current singer today at the gig, and they got some crazy mosh going. Good fun. Also, expect douchebags to mosh at the Agalloch show, if there's a standing area, there'll always be someone. Agalloch are definitely not a band I'd want to mosh to, only headbang or probably just watch.
Also, even though I feel bad sometimes, it is pretty funny to see a band that are really trying to work the crowd when the crowd isn't even remotely interested. Also lulzy when the lead vocalist is all like YOU NEED TO MOSH REALLY f**kING HARD TO THIS SONG and no one does.

Yeah, I usually headbang but even that doesn't seem realistic at Agalloch. Not that I want to, you're right. I hope to maybe go into a trance instead! I know the place will be brimming with hipsters, so I hope they will think moshing as so not cool... Also I hope to score myself a hipster chick! Now that Ben has one I don't wanna hear anyone say "lulz JJ wants a hipster girl" Because I do K? And Joel you know the band Bury Your Dead? It was them, (who started the wall of death) they were playing free concert in town and I was walking by and figured why the f**k not. Live....metalcore is awesome They all autographed mah shirt too!

K lol. More I think about it, the less appropriate it seems to even headbang at Agalloch, definitely not that kind of a band. Most hipsters hate moshing at shows I go to, although it depends on the band/hipsters/atmosphere of the concert/venue rules in regards to moshing etc. Also, I would not mind a hipster girl myself. Also, Ben has one wut

Yeah, Bury Your Dead are pretty sweet. Haven't listened to them in a while though. Lolz @ their fail. Yeah, a lot of the bands who I regularly see are honestly quite uninteresting to me outisde of their gigs, although they are absolutely insane to see live.
