the Don Musculoso would be hilarious if it weren't so disturbing-- you know those are implants, yeah?

Oh that's a superb album. If it's your style of music of course.

Yes, how was godspeed? I wondered what a band like that in concert would be like. The post rock/shoegaze-esque band I see was good but really pretty bad for concert....

By amazing do you mean they got another band to play or that you fell asleep before they started playing? hahaha

Every post-rock show I've been to has been awesome. A Silver Mt. Zion blew the roof off.

Yeah? Well good news there, Im still mulling over driving to PA for a weekend to go out and see Explosions in the Sky. And I just figured a post rock show would be awesome or the band would be real pretentious and be almost non existent. After a while the lack of any human emotion made them real tough to get into...maybe just me.

Well, they were LOUD. Forget the falling asleep thing, no way you could pass out at a show that noisy.
Lots of cool sampling, VERY cool movies, and they sounded incredible. They played Moya, Alberta, Static, a track from Yanqui U.X.O. (not sure which one), Storm, and then East Hastings. 2.5 hour set. Definitely going to remember this one for a long time.
Oh yeah, got a poster and a weird shirt. The shirt doesn't even say Godspeed on it anywhere, it has a long-ass cryptic message on the front and then an eagle carrying a banner on the back. Cool sh*t.

Sigur Ros was kind of non-existent, but the show was still amazing. I guess that one I can't really explain though. Every other post band I've seen has had tons of energy. Maserati was like sex on shrooms.
