Haven't you heard? It's the newest fad being beaten to death by the underground metal community. "Internet Forum Metal." |
How would I know that? I'm not an adolescent.

Symp is old, boring, outdated, unfesh, smelly, stinky, and old and boring, and not new, the only real music was made post 89 as we all know, dont listen to music as old as your grany, listen to new fresh stuff that rocks, and is kewl and hip. Say no to your dads music and yes to the new hippsters that are breaking ground in da music wold, and you dont have to feel embarast to tell your frinds your listen to. Old music No! New music Yes! post 89 only, the rest is dead and rotten, and shuld be forgoten! yeah! |
this guys dows not know sh*t. with that line of reasoning, he's somehow saying that new means better. so, his tragically mistaken logic says that genesis was better in the 80s, with all the pop bullsh*t, than in their prog days. or ELP was better in '92 than they were in '71. stupid moron

of course, symphonic. any kind of prog metal is not prog at their best. in fact, prog metal, and any subgenre of it, is maybe the most simple kind of prog. period.

By Gum, Ian, we're getting on
As an aside, I put on The Decemberist's new album the other night. My son asked me what I was putting on, and I told him it was a great American folk rock band. He (being all of nine year old, said, at the top of his voice:
"Folk? FOLK?! Dad, you're such a boring old fart!"

Have only just come across this term "Djent" myself. Would the experts on the matter like to give some examples of Bands and their music which falls under this term to enlighten the ignorant - please???
