And we thought Russia was the backwards country of Europe.
Y'all really followed with 300 year old copyright laws?

Hell no, that was journalistic make-it-up-as-you-go-alongism - we invented copyright 300 years ago, it's been revised loads of times, the last was 1988.
What?

Even people in Somalia were already copying their own discs like 15 years ago... Confused
That's because Somalia has no copyright laws

Well good point. But the existence or not of a law doesn't mean that an action is or isn't performed. And I said "people in Somalia were already copying their own discs like 15 years ago" Wink

Of course I assume British people have also been law-breakers since the invention of copy burners... Tongue

I don't know if you guys watch The Daily Show, but last night's episode, Jon Stewart went on a 'rant' about the British laws (since he parodied the House of Commons a few weeks back, but it was censored on British TV), I thought it was pretty well done; he made a lot of good points.

I didn't know you couldn't move your music from a CD to you iPod. LOL Their censorship laws are so silly.

It's not censorship it's a monopoly - you can't make it funnier than it already is.

Not quite - we didn't have a law specifically allowing it, which isn't the same thing.

i saw it, it was brilliant, I watch the Daily Show and Colbert Report everyday, two of my favourtie hybreed talkshow news programs, only Craig Ferguson is funnier, I really like to think that  the Daily Shows cast is very influenced by  Monty Python i feel some of the python humour is very much alive and pressant in the corespondances and Jon himself, iike their dead panned faced interviews and how they ask really absurd quiestions with striaght faces, and are getting reall honust answers... really cool detail wich few realy thinks on tomuch....

On Pineview Terrace, an officer saw a woman "with a beer can in her hand, nude from the waist down, performing a sexual act on a City of Atlanta fire hydrant."

It gets worse. Much worse. Apparently, the woman was fornicating with the fire hydrant across the street from her 80-year-old mother's home. And Mom was looking out the window and saw the whole thing.

The officer approached the woman and her fire hydrant. "Upon seeing me, she threw the beer can down and started to walk away, but was hindered by her pants being around her ankles," the officer wrote. "I placed her in custody and helped her pull her pants up, and get them fastened around her waist with her belt." Surprise! The woman appeared to be very drunk. The mother said her daughter has a problem with crack cocaine and always gets high, and then comes and causes problems outside her home. (The elderly mother has custody of the woman's four kids, ages 8 to 18, who were home at the time.) Also, the mother said her daughter gives false names to police, and that's why she spends such short periods of time in jail after being arrested.

The woman, 44, went to jail on charges of public indecency, public drunkenness and littering (the beer can).

This is really progressive! A faster way to bomb each other!

I read in a Norwagian paper that they have lost contact with the vehicle. Personally, I think there are better ways to go from London to Sydney.

That's absolutely stunning technology. It's a shame it'll be used to bomb rather than to improve life.
