I think I'm supposed to water it again when the soil is almost dry, but I would need some kind of a device to measure the humidity

...and you have to factor in the cactus size/soil amount/soil-capability-of-holding-water ratios as well.

But the amount of water left in the soil is limited by the size of the pot, which is very small.
