Yeah, the Yanks lucked out and got the good Burnett today.  And Granderson has made some absolutely ludicrous plays in center.

So someone defend TLR's decision to walk Ruiz.  I think it was classic LaRussa overthinking things.

On another note, Yankees looking really human recently.

Agreed. I ripped like 3 stress balls to shreds. One more now. Hopefully Oswalt has his velocity tomorrow and the Phillies have their bats.

Ugh Rays. A leadoff homerun in an elimination game is not a good start.

I'm sure that he will have a short leash.  Porcello is a good young pitcher but he has struggled alot this year too, so I suspect we will have a high scoring game with both starters gone by the 6th inning.  Translated that means that the final will be 1 - 0.

If I were a Yankee fan and heard that news, I think I'd throw up a little in my mouth.

It's also a measure of unsustainable/luck induced pitching performances.

Gutsy performance by Verlander and the Tigers. Here's hoping Porcello's sinker induces enough ground balls and Burnett's inconsistency equals the final ALDS win for the Tigers. That way, no one has to listen to Yankee hype for the rest of the year. Hopefully, Ken Rosenthal will choke putting on his stupid bow tie. He'll will be without NY and Boston to blather about.

I am sure it was pretty bad.  The Tigers pretty much threw that series away with all of their pitcher's fielding errors, and the double play groundball to Brandon Inge that ended up in Right Field.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.
