That sounds like it. Mangold is a strong candidate too, but his injury and a few bum games hurts him IMO.

Don't have a ton of complaints about the final pro-bowl roster but when a player who is a liability on the field is named a starter (Ray Lewis) then the league really needs to rethink fan voting.  Troy and Maurkice didn't really have pro-bowl worthy years, either, and Ed Reed is a joke.  Never seen a safety that plays punt return position every play so universally praised.

How is Ray Lewis a liability?Whether you like him or not he is recognized as on of the greatest linebackers to ever play the game.

And Ed Reed a joke? WTF?

Ray Lewis: everyone gets old.  The best in-game example of the need for a changing of the guard was a goal line series in the San Diego game.  Ray's backup stones the RB in the hole only to watch Ray tag him out and get run over like a groundhog on the highway on the next play.  His legacy as the hardest half-tackler, 6+ yards into the play, is secure and he should be content to drift into the background instead of hurting him team just to stroke his ego.

Ed Reed: he plays punt returner on damn near every play.  His game is dropping deep and hoping a ball is tipped in his general direction.  In a era where NFL teams pass just as much or more than they run there are enough tipped balls and overthrows to put together a career on being in the wrong place at the right time.  Maybe there was a time in his career when he could cover and tackle but I don't remember it.

no way around it, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed were great players. Everyone gets older, and (most players) start losing a step or two. I do like to troll you, but honestly this time...your beliefs about Ray Lewis are fanman ridiculousness.

Wow, I am actually shocked by this. In times past you had to buy post season tickets in advance, and of course if they dont make it well too bad. With how much the Giants have f**ked us I can't believe they did this....but starting this year actually waited until the seasons end and gave us post season tickets, and will only charge if the Giants make it. Shocked

Have not yet seen a post season game at the Stadium (since idk last G men actually didn't have to play on the roadLOL) so that'd be cool.  If it happens we'd play either the Falcons or Lions I think, and would much prefer the Falcons.

Unfortunately if things stand as is, the Gmen will be playing the lions. And frankly, I see it staying as is. I imagine the pack will be resting its players, at least for half the game. But maybe I'll be wrong. (Hopefully) I much rather them play the falcons too.

Yeah, assuming there is not a radical change in defensive play....I would see Ryan/The Falcons as the lesser evil. Not that it means much because we saw what the Seahawks were able to do!

Hell we needa get past the Boys anyway. Still think we will win, especially if they can pressure romo...get that famous choke to start up again. Or swat around at his swollen up hand!

Wow...how many more records will fall this season? Saints just topped the St Louis Rams title of greatest show on turf from 2000, surpassing their net yardage mark of 7,075.

Too bad the Rams could not repeat some of that today, looks like the 49ers get the 2 seed.....they deserve it this season.

Again, another record that is kind of eh...well.... but it is what it is. Just glad it's Brees and not Brady lol
Well congrats to him for really owning the record. 5476 yards. Though his 46 TDs still do not touch Marino's (or Peyton and Brady's record). Dan the Man will always be the man.

Maybe A Rod doesn't deserve the MVP??? While it wasn't pretty looks like the Packers can win (and in grand fashion) with f**kin Matt Flynn at QB!

Hoping the Chiefs can end Denver but it's the chiefs...I don't know if they can score the necessary 21 points that would be needed to put Tebow away LOL I know it's division but what a joke of a game. This is pathetic. 4 of 14 from Tebow again!? Sweet Jesus what a failure of a QB. But they will again because the Chiefs suck.

Guess I'll go out for the Giants game and see what happens. I have no idea anymore.

Records are all ehhh......but its what the world is defined by as a pro anything. KC might pull it out......but there is plenty of time left.
Have zero interest in watching the SEA-ARZ game.......I'm a bad Seattleite!! LOL

Well no Marino's was really something, today it's an impressive year but there's much less wow factor. Remember some years ago we saw a QB who hasn't started since HS step right into the Pats and go beast mode. And he's poven since to be a solid QB at very best. I love watching but not thinking because the NFL really IS a joke sometimes.

Even if KC does pull it out just what a miserable game!
I just am hoping the cult of Tebow has been shed, or will be soon.

And it's ok, despite everything I want to think and feel I am expecting the Giants to lose today. I'm just so beaten down by this year lol

Well I agree the NFL today is pretty close to a joke, with all the flags getting thrown.......not so much the head-head hits but the stoooopid holding calls, illegal use of hands, chop blocks, all that crapp has to make old NFLers call the league a wussy league now.

I have yet to see a flag thrown for a base runner mowing down a catcher at the plate or a pitcher throwing 98mph fastball at a batters side gut.........when does MLB start up again?? LOL

Oh yeah I was thinking the way things are but oh the flags! Not to mention when you are playing certain QBs in the league these mysterious and/or utterly bogus calls you see. TOTALLY just a bad call I'm sure...nothing elseDisapprove
Also the pass interference. Ugh it's horrible.

Whatever, Im in a naturally bad mood right and NOT because I am hungover or anything. Although a Giants crushing tonight would help!

Yeah, that's a damn shame.  All because Williams Gay sucks.  That and the Bungles getting hosed in the first Ravens/Bungles game.

You know what dude? You might dislike the Ravens as much as I dislike the Steelers but I always give credit where credit is due.The f**kin Ravens didn't win the AFC North because Gay sucks or the Bengals lost their first meeting with us.The won it because they never gave up.We lost some games we shouldn't but bounced back and came through in the clutch.

And saying Rice is our offense is a joke.He might be a large part of our offense but we have a great fullback in Leach,a good receiving corps(Torrey Smith WILL be an elite WR in this league),and two damn fine young tight ends.I'd like to see our offensive line step a bit and more production from Flacco, but SB's have been won with a great defense and running game.

NEW YORK GIANTS!

Eli motherf**kin Manning
Victor Cruz

Yeah ignore him Jody, it's tough but MoM lives in a fantasy world.
Besides, he may think Ray Lewis sucks but at least he doesn't go around trying to kill people. Not that he can....because we aren't so lucky to have a player blatantly disregard a rule 6 times before getting a slap on the wristLOL

Giants pass coverage still looks pretty terrible, but the pass rush is hopefully getting back to full speed. If we can get Tuck, Osi and JPP going at max we can at least get some pressure going. The run game is still sh*t, but it can only go up from here so I'll hope they can get that going.

For now the Giants still rely on Eli, who keeps showing he can hit any route, make any throw, even escape from pressure. This year he's certainly earned every cent of his massive contract. After all these years just personally so great to see Eli playing like this. Who also now holds the record for most 4th quarter TDs in a season!

Oh, and Victor Cruz has just become something else. What a pro bowl snub. After having a problem with the dropsies he's become pretty reliable and can break it any time. Just what a season for those 2.

I'll be at the game Sunday against the Falcons. Oh please god...at least let it be a good game. No more crippling losses at home :(

Progtologist: They win because they never give up?  What is this, a Disney movie? yeesh
The AFC North broke down to one play this year and it happened to be a blown coverage by William Gay and Ryan Clark.  Also, Ray Rice is absolutely 95% of your offense (pretty sure it was up to 99% today) and should be an MVP candidate.

Double congratulations to JJ: not only did the Giants make the playoffs but they get to host the Falcons.  I find them to be the less dangerous of the wildcard teams.

The Falcons?
Yes, I would much rather face them over the Lions. I'm very excited about how it happened.

While I prefer them over Detroit I'm just gunna savor this moment because faith isn't soaring for meLOL
But hey, get that Giants pass rush going and if Eli and the offense can keep this up...well maybe.

Also, sucks that the Broncos still made it in but I am supremely confident they will be destroyed. You can complete 27% and almost beat the Chiefs but that won't fly against the Steelers. Well I hope. For the love of Teb-erm Christ your Steelers better put the Broncos in the dirt. I wanna see Tebow go 1-20 with 7 picks!
