That's a great one.  Last year when I was in Philadelphia I went to a record store and while I was there the guy in the store put that album on.  I was surprised not only because it's so obscure, but also because I didn't think you could still find CD copies anywhere.  I went to the counter and asked if I could have it, and he said No Way, This is My Copy From Home, Are You Nuts? LOL
Damn. LOL Would have been a cool experience though. I really liked a few tracks, especially Space Prophet Dogon, that was awesome!

My next recommendation along those lines would be "You're Never Alone with a Cigarette".  Or just pick an album at random and prepare to be surprised, because they're all over the place.
After reading reviews I got the gist they were all over the place, and I'm all for that! I'd like to check out more stuff of theirs, but there's not much available on Grooveshark (apart from that album), and only a few tracks on Spotify. So where to look?

I dont' know why we have many subgenres if we don't include progressive music in general.

Too subjective, not many boundaries or guidelines, and there's other sites around.

Because progressive music = music that doesn't sound like Genesis, and no one wants that.

But we have stuff like Tangerine Dream that isn't even close to classic prog.

Well I did find another full album on youtube just now.  I actually haven't heard this one yet but I know it's one of their earliest, so I can't vouch for its quality.

Hah! I read some reviews for that one. Thanks. Hopefully when I get around to it, it'll play through alright on my computer.

Genre labels seem kind of pointless insomuch as they don't seem worth arguing about, and yet I've noticed how important they really are in this internet age, where you won't ever really find anything unless you're looking for it.  And to look for the right things it's very convenient to have a genre tag on it so you only find the stuff you're more likely to want.

I've actually started thinking about how we should tag Rare Goat's album once it's completed.  We never really started out thinking we were going to be a Genre A band versus a Genre B band or whatever.  But I think the tags we choose will ultimately determine who gets to hear us, so we kind of need to choose that audience carefully.
