I'm just the pieces of the man I used to be
Too many bitter tears are rainin' down on me
I'm far away from home
And I've been facing this alone
For much too long, ohoo
I feel like no-one ever told the truth to me
About growin' up and what a struggle it would be
In my tangled state of mind
I've been lookin' back to find
Where I went wrong

^^I'm a big Queen fan but I couldn't guess it.

My Turn.

filling every fairy tale and every grail"

These lyrics come from Discipline's masterpiece Unfolded Like Staircase. I think they are from Into the Dream.

Edit: Found the part in the 7th minute. I take my turn:

Mirror-painted airplanes floating
to some distant fancy-fair
Carrying with them several servants
Lovely ladies of the air

Where you'll be tonight?
Where you'll be tomorrow?

^Your father told me I can stay,
But he mistrusts my unfamiliar ways:
He want's to use the things I've learnt
Six hundred years of knowledge sorely earned.
But if we can stay together,
I don't mind the things he tells me:
Of defending him in mutiny,
I don't care if you're there, I don't care
One the farms they've made a stand,
Against the hated iron hands, they're uniting
They're backed by everyone in town,
And I must ride to beat them down, how they're fighting:

This one may be a hard one, but it was the first lyric that entered into my mind. I doubt if it is as familiar as it looks. I think I start giving hints:

The band or artist is to be found in PA, but you have not reviewed one of their albums.

If only I were a prolific enough reviewer for that to narrow it down. LOL

"Here I am, laying down on my dirty bed,
Well, I lost a friend, in the end
I need a helping hand,
Get me out of here, be my dear,
Far along from the radio,
So I followed you, til the morning dew,
Closed a warm wind, to a shady grave
Where she is, she's by my side,
Don't play too loud, I've got no doubt,
She's leading me home"

it's obscure, so I will give you a hint, it's a German group

LOL The lead vocalist of this Eclectic Prog band stepped down after this album and took place behind the drumkit. His first name is also the name of a book in the Old Testament.
