I'm sure there will be a more extensive release later in the year

Profusion: Phersu is expected this winter.

Maybe Anekdoten (according to their website, they see some light at the end of the tunnel) and Hamadryad.

I'm more curious about a lot of releases than excited. I'm really glad the folks from Antemasque are getting back to their punk roots, but their first album didn't really impress me. Still, I'd like to see where they go with it. The new Modest Mouse should be pretty good at the very least even if it's not amazing. I also want to hear more Sunn O))) collabs too. I'm hoping Radiohead takes up a radical new direction as their current style showed slight sign of staleness on King of Limbs, even if I do love that album. Tame Impala should be good. They're in their prime. I also am excited for Panda Bear and Kendrick Lamar. Gang of Four is releasing a new album. Should be interesting. And, as has been the pattern for the 10s, there will probably be a couple metal releases that catch me by surprise.

Spock's Beard are in the studio, so we should have something from them in the summer. Plus Arena's The Unquiet Sky.

Really looking forward to Hand. Cannot. Erase. myself.

Indeed. I am very curious as to what Muse will come up with next.

I think there was an interview a while back indicating that they wanted to go back to their roots, back to rock. Of course, that was a long while ago, and I very much doubt they'll lose the stadium focus and over-produced polish of late. But it would still be interesting- they'll been heading further and further in one direction for several albums now, they've gotta change something up.

Absolution - 100% rock
Black Holes - 50% rock 50% pop
last two albums have been predominantly pop based imo

naturally Absolution is my favourite so I would like to see more of a return to that style although I think its more likely they will go further into the pseudo dance/pop direction.

Yeah, my favorite Led Zep album is always changing too! They were a great band. I think the new remasters will improve the sound of both Presence and Coda (and ITTOD). And I expect there will be some interesting bonus tracks too, Jimmy Page has hinted that he found some interesting stuff in the vaults!

By the way, if you haven't seen it, I recommend their double DVD set (simply called 'Led Zeppelin DVD'), it's got some great performances on it.

Hi,

I'll be happy with good health and otherwise happy.

Music or no music is the same to me these days, and while it is my first and only love, there is more to life to share that love with.

I'm wanting to finish two novels that are at about 3/4 on one and 1/2 on the other. maybe tackle my website a bit more with the rest of my film reviews and add the album reviews, which I have only shared sporadically here.

Think about retirement. Just turned 64!

While I have hope to hear new things, I have not found "yeti's" that just send this old man into convulsions of extazy any more. And like the article above, too much of the music is riff and pattern oriented and is not free, which for me is important to help the visual life inside me. And this was the part that was glorious in SPR and a lot of the music in those early days ... they added to your visual-ness and you were always able to continue it.

Nowadays, I do not need music to do this with, as I can meditate my way into these easily enough, and they have a lot more depth than just some rock music beat, or lyric!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Clap we've been watching tour dates and christ almighty are they selling them out as dates are announced.

Good to see since they had a couple year gap off the radar so to speak... how quickly time and audiences can pass one by especially with all the new music out there.

The Gentle Storm, a project from Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon) and Anneke van Giersbergen (ex The Gathering).
I think it'll be released in March.
Thanks !! Your topics always so good and informative. I like you talk.
