Perhaps not so clearly. Indeed that review was on 28 December. You commented about it on 6 January

2.
Needs a female vocalist, show me any CS review that says this? I said this on
the 6th of January, yes true. And as you quoted me above of course I am
influenced by what I read and see, this is natural.
and on 28 January you posted again referencing to that review
Referencing to what
review? I am lost here. This below was as a reply to a review reporting thread and me coming to the
defense of someone who made a review.
Kati wrote:
This band has had their share of negative reviews, some negative ones seem fair and others are blatant lies and I have to say that one is from one of your fellow brethren collab's. The band did not report it because they told me that this happens in the music industry and one should rather focus on the positive. I know (this is my point of view and thinking) they thought it would be pointless and make it worse as it obviously would bring a negative backlash to them. I can see why they would think such thing. Collabs make mistakes too, they should know better compared to a person who is a new member and wrote one single review with a real profile also is allowed to be overlooked in this case. |
Again the above was in
response to a review made by someone and me coming to their defense there, in the
review reporting thread. Quite the contrary to what you accuse me of doing.
So it's not like that review and your thoughts about it are things from months ago, so I don't think I can be blamed for guessing that this thread was still an afterthought coming from there (you deny so but when I asked you which other review was the trigger you can not give me any concrete answer).
I will not apologise again. Full stop.

Is this all you got? You still have not responded to what I requested from you by showing me the proof of what you said I have said which is unfounded and not true.

hahahaha earlyprog, that's cheeky and naughty too It's your opinion, luckily not everyone's. By actually reading the 15 reviews by PA Collaborators not mentioning others, one can clearly see and feel they did listen to the album maybe you can't but I can tell yes ahum yep they did

I only listen to someone read the review as I listen to someone reading the liner notes of the album. | i like reading the album while i listen to the liner notes

Again not the post I was looking for but found this one also showing quite the opposite from me acting negative to a negative review:

I'm sorry Kati, I didn't mean to offend you, of course not, it's just that you have more than once posted reactions towards negative reviews from that band and I just got carried away thinking that this was also related to the same case.
Any review is by definition subjective, and we must allow critical comments if the reviewer honestly thinks so, but of course we must demand from reviewers to be polite, respectful, and articulate in their opinions. Just bashing an album without articulate reasoning is not acceptable.

Gerinski, no cheers here. I have a question for you and hope for an answer to your comments below: Again I must quote you here: "I'm sorry Kati, I didn't mean to offend you, of course not, it's just that you have more than once posted reactions towards negative reviews from that band and I just got carried away thinking that this was also related to the same case."? Where have I ever said or done such things? The only time I discuss them is on reviews reporting thread to help clarify things or if anyone happened to mention them but never started it by myself. I never post about them except once recently, it was a competition to win a signed cd from them but the quiz was not at all about them, it was about guessing 10 artists from 70's prog/rock era, this was just for fun and for some interaction, infact they get the wrong end of the stick from me because I post so many things about other bands and songs but nothing from them to avoid all this.. I have tried to keep things separate, this is not the reason why I stayed here on PA, I have become very fond the members in this group here on PA, I feel happy being here. I am not here to defend myself, all you have to look are at my ratings, especially band releases in 2012. I have not rated much this last year. I have not asked anyone here to write a review on their new album because I did not want to place anyone in an awkward position due to conflict of interests. Now back to what you said, where have I said what you accused me of doing, as quoted? |

| Guldbamsen, how (highlighted in red) is that an apology to you? When you apologise to someone you do not throw a dig at them. And I think that dig is unfounded too thus want an answer as to where I said that.

Obviously what I read must have influenced me by posting this topic. However it clearly was not because of a CS review, their last review was on 28 December 2014 and this topic I started on the 23rd of January 2015. Now back to my initial question?

Sorry Sonia, but I made that exact same assumption myself when you made this thread. It's not that far fetched really. You've commented on reviewers before and how you would like to see them write with the respect.....often in the wake of a negative Corvus Stone review. That may not have been a factor at all and I'm sorry it wasn't, but you can't really blame people for thinking like that....even if they're wrong. |
Guldbamsen if that was the case I would be direct and say so. And no I do not blame people for misunderstandings but also don't appreciate being accused of things I have not done meanwhile taking this opportunity to further deliberate and go into details their dislike of something or anyone, especially while knowing that I (idiot here) have praised him before for his reviewing skills in regards to that exact less favorable review even if he still took upon himself to discuss it further into detail. I find it no longer interesting to read, twice was enough for me and see no reason for repeating this for a third time while replying to me. |

Convinced of your initial assumption really? Ok fine believe what you will, I have nothing further to say to you, Guldbamsen and I will not be bullied into stop wanting proof of something I clearly have not said or critique.

Let's make it easy Kati: which review(s) prompted you to start this thread? I must admit that I unknowingly thought it was some negative review on CS and it seems that I was wrong. Sorry for that, really. So, may I know which was the review which triggered you to post this thread?

On the Reviews reporting thread I NEVER MADE ANY CRITIQUE ABOUT A SPECIFIC REVIEW nor have I ever mentioned anyone on them, quite the contrary I have came to the defense of 3 reviewers (and some collabs too) because I know them and felt that it was unfair, never said a word of critique specifying any reviewer or review. |
Really Kati, it would take me some time which I am not too keen on spending at. David (Guldbamsem) has quite confirmed that he understood my point even if I may have been wrong. So let's state it loud and clear: OK You were not referring at all to any reviews on Corvus Stone. Reviewers should be judged too, and that's a completely neutral statement, nothing to do with any Corvus Stone review, it was about judging reviewers who give low ratings to Queen, Supertramp, Yes, VDGG, Big Big Train, Riverside, Magma, Kayo Dot, Devin Tonwnshend, Knifeworld and Perfect Beings. |
Your opinion to the actual topic is relative to this discussion and your opinion is valid too, however if you accuse me of saying something I say I have not said, you have to be able to back this up too.
