Absolutely Ocean Machine. Very good list of great albums though, but to me, Ocean Machine is truly a Masterpiece. Truly Brilliant, with it's dark themes, and passionate song writing transcending most Rock/Metal music IMO. I might choose Radiohead, but honestly, I really like Kid A better than OK Computer. But that's just me.

Too many great choices, but the Arena album didn't have any votes.

not just you . OK Computer to me is exactly like a modern Dark Side Of The Moon (some great tracks but the sum of the parts doesn't add up to much) . Anyway my choice is Stupid Dream. Not exactly an exciting album has to be said but no real weak moments. I used to regard the IQ album has my favourite bar nothing. Strap on then headphones and away we go. At some point I stopped bothering with headphones (probably when I moved into a detached houseSmile)
Others - some Mansun would have been nice ( Six) or Par Lindh Project's Mundus Incompertus which is sadly overlooked.

other (can't choose any of those)

Pain of Salvation - One Hour By The Concrete Lake
or
Camel - Harbour Of Tears (my favourite camel album)
Please, forgive my spelling and concordance mistakes. English noob here.

I forgot about Pain of Salvation, it's funny how sometimes one forgets about the obvious ones LOL

If you like POS, maybe you should give Sieges Even or Conception a chance. Big smile

Sad to see Fates Warning hasn't got any votes yet, APSoG is an amazing album.

What's funny, I'm just curious?
You've put the *other* as an option.
In case you did not put the *other* as an option, why not to click on something at your list.
Do not put *other* option if you don't like that people click on it. Very simple, isn't?

EDIT: Are you perhaps a candidate for a collab? If you are, then I understand your outburst. Sh*t on me, and that's the best recommendation for that.

I choose to find it funny and not insulting since you have NEVER chosen anything from my polls and then only suggest Smak or other bands from your country which only you and very few others (and I bet all your countrymen) know about. I find your Smak fanboyism annoying.
Maybe we just don't have much in common in music tastes.

The "other " option is for those who don't like my options or hopefully to mention something I've missed or do not know and in the end it would be my gain to discover some new music.

And that's one of the BIG reasons why people put the *other* option on their polls.
There aren't only U.S. / UK bands in Archives, sorry.

[/QUOTE]

so people put "other" in the poll to find out about the existence of some obscurity they will never get the chance to listen to a full length albumLOL It's frustrating; a while ago I listend to some obscure German jazz/rock fusion streaming somewhere, it sounded awesome, will I ever have the chance to listen to the whole thing? I doubt it (and I forgot the name of the band unfortunately).

No, there aren't only US/UK bands, Sieges Even are German and Conception are from Norway, Ayreon and The Gathering  are from Holland, Rush and Devin Townsend are Canadian  but then again, I doubt you know all the albums I listed.

I heard all of them, in fact at the time when they were released, but I prefer Smak's Egregor the album released at the end of decade.
