Ah. Yeah, Seventeen Seconds sinks into monotony pretty early. I've not listened The Top but I've heard it's rather bizarre in an unappealing way. I do like Kiss Me, but it's definitely not their peak. My favorite tends to be Faith, a slower, more serene variation of their early goth rock style. Their most popular seems to be Disintegration, which would probably be one of my favorites by them as well.

I think consensus goes towards Pornography and Disintegration being their two finest LPs.

NP:


Psychedelic black/sludge/doom metal but from a somewhat different disposition than Minsk, certainly less relentlessly bleak and cold. I think this really is an untapped genre-crossover vein to come along so far, it's just taken me a while to find enough groups who actually pull of that fusion in a way I find satisfying.

I like Inter Arma quite a bit. I've been meaning to check out Minsk as well.
