^^ I'm a big fan of Groundhogs, especially Crosscut Saw and Black Diamond. |
I may be mistaking but I think most fans prefer/like their early stuff better, circa the Split album, but I much prefer Black Diamond/Crosscut Saw. The material is more interesting, Mcphee's sound is monstrous unlike the dry sound in previous albums. Those are definitely my favourite albums, right on man!!
Btw those two 80's albums are also pretty great, lots of terrific playing. |
I have the early stuff also... Blues Obituary Thank Christ For The Bomb Solid Split Who Will Save The World Hogwash The Two Sides Of Tony (T.S.) McPhee But I agree with you, the guitar work on Crosscut Saw and Black Diamond is the heaviest by far.
