^Yes Dean, thanks for the understanding. And yes, I've never seen that level of extremism here in PA. Sadly tying it to the current events, that is the kind of racism that will prompt attacks on refugees and foreigners who have absolutely nothing to do with terrorism.

The only negative about having posts removed is that is does interrupt the flow of the discussion and where it can possibly lead to.
 
As was case for us yesterday, where I had no idea of any racists remarks having been made to you, aside from the usual snarky innuendos. That does not mean that I should act differently toward you, but the truth is that we do react to acts of racism and do act differently to those that are victimized.
 
At least some of do. There are people better than me that are always consistent with their empathy, but I'm not one of them. I would like be like them and I try to be like them. At least I get it right most of the time.
 
I can see that you are truly a decent, caring and concerned person T and I wish the you the best.
 
And I'm glad we're both on the same side of fence, in the most important areas.

In the aftermath of tragic events, all extremists (of all colors and creeds) are coming out of the woods. The level of idiocy I've read in places like Twitter or other social networks is just unbelievable. And even worse when it comes from people with large audiences.

There's a contradiction right there between the first and last sentence.  But I know conservatives don't bother with history other than their own version of it, whether it's American conservatives or our own grand right wing party, the BJP.

I didn't include your conservativism and your christianism there because at least partially those are your own decisions (I may not agree with them but whatever). If you feel pride for that, suit yourself. 

But your "race" and your sexual orientation is just what was assigned to you at birth by nature/god/bush, whatever you want to believe. Being "proud" of being white  (or any color) is basically laughable.

When did he say it was a badge of merit, he just said he's white. Saying you're white or black doesn't make you racist, all that is is stating your race.

Oh no, put those two sentences together and see how they sound.  "As a white Christian conservative American, I don't want thousands of immigrants in my country."  Without the ideological/ethnic badge of honour,the latter statement would sound merely apprehensive/fearful.  Combined together, it's like to wanting to preserve a certain identity of America that remains predominantly white.

This does not resonate as common sense to me.

I think that the idea doesn't inherently make you racist, but it would just depend on why you feel this way.
