R.I.P. to all of the above.
"Music is much like f**king, but some composers can't climax and others climax too often, leaving themselves and the listener jaded and spent."

Chris Burgess, 27, a young guitarist in a local hard rock band Heinous Pianist  - not rich or famous, or known to many people outside Hampshire, but was good enough to earn support slots with Karma to Burn, Wolfsbane and Blaze Bailey.

It keeps getting worse.

This one hurts:  Guy Clark, the eminently talented Texas songwriter, has passed.  Nobody - not Dylan, not Neil Young, not Jackson Browne - nobody wrote songs like Guy Clark.  An absolute craftsman of the highest order.

Oh man, didn't know.  Peace out to I. Tomita and kin, a great composer.

Well, crud. I really liked his rendition of Pictures At An Exhibition. Now that I think about it, that's the second keyboardist who did an arrangement of that piece to pass away this year.
Just heard it today. Isao Tomita R.I.P.

Tomita was a God among men;and a true musical mind! There is no other musician who created such a complete sonic universe with a single instrument the Moog modular synthesizer.

Mega respect to the master Tomita !!

Quite realistic, given the fact that the name of Keith Richards topped a list of soon-expected deaths sometime during the mid-70's Stern Smile.

Beer now THAT is a song made for dancing if you know what I mean.

I'm sure tonight thousands... maybe hundreds thousands of adults conceived to that song are raising their drinks in honor of him and that incredible song. Someone on NPR today called it.. THE greatest love song ever written.  Hard one to say.. a lot of great ones to choose from there.. but there is no doubt that is a top 5 all time songs best suited for dancing. LOL
