Rabbit Rabbit - Black Inscription

Laurie Anderson & Kronos Quartet - Landfall
Aksak Maboul - Before and After Bandits
Gogo Penguin - A Humdrum Star
Is the new Aksak Maboul any good?

It's an archival release of live material and demo's. I got it mainly as a completist of that era of the band but it stands up very well. I like it a lot, very pleasantly surprised.

Mention of Vantomme makes me want to dig out my Wrong Object albums. What a band! Must check out the solo album, thanks.

^ Heard back from the band - no concrete plan for a CD release, but under consideration. So I bought the download.

Tip of the hat to the good Dr. G. Bamsen, who turned me on to these guys a while back.

I wasn’t that enthused with Anna's last one, but will be sure to check it out.

The last Mother Turtle, II, was excellent in my book - and listening to Zea Mice now I think it's going to be at least equally strong. Thanks for the tip.

I just dropped the band an email to see if they are planning on a CD release. Will post the reply if they get back to me.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

So far there's only one 2018 release I'd listened to, and that happened last summer (I'm friends with the band):

Recently I got a bit disillusioned with the new music, so I've been avoiding 2018 releases for this reason. But hey, it's almost Spring, guess it's time to check what's up - maybe I could find a couple of good releases out there for myself. Please share!
