Reasons for starting this poll, it is a popular turn of phrace that each of these singers took the ralley stick in terms of suxeding the trends pf female vocals norm setters. Plazed them sadly in the order they passed away. Though Aretha an earlyer star then Withney sadly died way to early and sudden.

Whitney had the strongest voice in music for such a long time..........She could sing the phone book and it would be brilliant.

Aretha could sing any type of music with such high quality.

Not a big fan any of these (I couldnīt stand Whitney at all when she was in that famous film), but itīs Aretha for me.

Ella out of these. I much prefer the voices of (or maybe their use of voice) Nina Simone or Billie Holiday. Never been a fan of those "big voices" that show off their great lung capacity in every single song. Ella is far, far from the worst but I enjoy her gentler 1930's recordings the most - where she usually holds back a bit.
