More time on my hands--more random listening. Listed below are (most of) the tracks I heard March 23-25. They are in the order they came up from a shuffle of about 12000 tracks,  I randomly removed any duplicate artist and "unknown" tracks (to shorten a bit).

Look through the list below and find tracks you're familiar with. Create your ranked list from 1. (your favorite) to...(however many--your least liked at the end). Try to list at least 10 if you can. Do NOT include tracks not in the below list (e.g., something else from one of the artists).

If you feel so inclined, make a comment about it and/or say if its an old favorite, or if its just something you've recently heard.

Here's the random-order list (title of track - artists/band)

My ranking. (Of course I just listened to all of them, but I'll just do my top 30 or so):

1. Nimrodel/The Procession/The White Rider The best was saved for last! love this track.
2. Birds Flying Into Buildings  This track is awesome with creative jazzy-crazy prog!
3. The Watchmaker   Maybe (?) best track from a great album.
4. Massive Illusion  Amazing how entrancing this track is..
5. Terzo Incontro  Jazz-inspired Italian heavy-avant rock!
6. Lost in a Dream Yell  Great atmostphere on this, even though its not necessarily all that "ambient" a composition.
7. The Romantic Warrior  Just some of the best Jazz-rock around.
8. Odyssey  up to here, I've been quite familiar with the tracks; this is the pleasant surprise that I hadn't heard as much! from the Dixie Dregs.
9. It Can Happen  The one track that brings me back...
10. Strip the Soul One of the most ominous/disturbing tracks, but brilliant.
11. Gumppet Holvot Proggy Scandanavian folk with an amazing violin.
12. Toussaint L'Overture (live)  Just classic Santana.
13. Anxiety/Taurian Matador What incredible drum work by Mr. Cobham!
14. Wreck of the Hesperus Not heard as much as I should, but love the sweeping orchestra with a simple progression.
15. Rodeo ... Hoe-Down  This is the orchestral work that inspired ELP's version, great in its own right!
16. Retribution  Whoa! haven't heard this much, but I could really get into this; Great bass/drum work..
17. Santiago I knew Mckennitt was good, but may have to become a real fan. Love the violin.
18. Yulunga
19. Back to the Earth  Not heard much, but I like the driving tribal sounding drums.
20. This Dying Soul  Sounds like a great concert; amazing speed guitar!
21. Dawn  Nice surprise, not heard Circus too much; very subtle.
22. Capitaine Coeur de Miel  A grower; didn't like it till I saw performance and heard again now.
23. Hanazono  Great Jazz-rock sound, proggy enough to be here (Jazznova not listed on PA, so far as I know).
24. Ganglat
25. Peaceable Kingdom  Never gotten into Vapor Trails much, but this is decent.
26. Cassandra Gemini: Tarantism  In context, might put this higher on list, also the whispering is a bit annoying, but still great track.
27. Trout Quintet I  Classical fans should not be without this.
28. Crack in the Sky  Stickmen, good.
29. Dvorak..Largo  The pastoral/slow part to a great symphony.
30. Clover III  Composition a little off, but good some parts and good female vocals.
31. Pick Yourself up  Just beating out Mr. Wakeman because I'm a Diana Krall fan, and Sir Galahad is a little awkward.
32. Sir Galahad (see above comment)

Ok, thats enough; I'll just mention that I generally like the rest of the tracks, but nothing grabbed me as much as above.

It Can Happen - Yes and The Watchmaker - Steven Wilson certainly stand out. I would need a bit of time to rank the tracks as their are many that I'm not that familiar with.

For me also the highlight came last, the Camel one. Otherwise the Picchio dal Pozzo, Dead Can Dance, Romantic Warrior jumped at me, but there's many, many I don't know.

That's expected.  Just rank the ones you do know.

Picchio Dal Pozzo is fairly interesting to me--a potential grower, but I still don't quite git it.

You reminded me Parsons was in the random list-- somehow I totally missed it in my ranking!  I'd put it fairly high, but probably not in my top 10.
