I just checked and was surprised to find - unless I just missed it - no mention of the passing of the wonderful Neil Innes - the less flamboyant but no less gifted half of the Bonzo Dog Band songwriting team with Viv Stanshall, and of course honorary Python. Died unexpectedly on 29 December 2019 - just over three weeks before Terry Jones.

Just saw that on the allmusic site about Bill Withers. Sad. He had some really good ones. I remember a whole bunch of students singing "lean on me" while walking over a bridge in college. RIP Bill.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

The beast known as the Corona virus has taken away one of the world's biggest treasures.

RIP John Prine, the man who's music carried me through some of the most difficult times of my life.

No one could express himself quite like "the mailman", his lyrics could express feelings like no other, his humor always hit home and his heart was always in everything he wrote.

He overcame throat cancer but still came back with a vengeance with even more heart and soul in his voice.

Farewell, John Prine, I will miss you immensely.  Cry  But you will live on forever.

Çağlan Tekil, a metal pioneer in Turkey best known as a music critic and radio host, passed away at an early age. He wasn't globally-renowned, but was a very important figure in my country. R.I.P.
