i'mma listen
how did you find Portuguese speakers in Mississississississippi?
The school of music in my town brings in a lot of Latin American students in general.
ah that's cool
yeah I listened and it sounds very tight, you guys (also you on the Dream/Window thang) really make it sound professional
stylistically I heard a lot of Arrigo Barnabé at the first half, I'm sure you're conscious of that, in the second half it got more typically classic prog and slightly less interesting imo but all solid for sure
Thanks. Yeah, the dissonance and the spoken vocals are a bit Barnabe-ish. I was thinking more Kiko Dinucci at the time, but he’s very influenced by Barnabe I think. (I downvoted the VP tag mainly because the Brazilian crowd on RYM has managed to convince me that we use it a bit too liberally on RYM and that it might better apply to a specific scene rather than a genre; I was definitely considering those artists when working on this, though).
(lol ok, understandable) yeah Kiko Dinucci makes sense too, so did you push the Brazilians to go for that style or are they into that stuff ass swell?
I came up with my guitar parts for the first couple of songs with Kiko Dinucci in mind and they just followed the dissonance there. They're all Zappa and KC fans and Vincent and Julián are into and have experience performing avant-garde classical music so they knew what to do. I think I mentioned vanguarda paulista once or twice when we were writing, but I don't know how much they thought of that stuff when coming up with their parts. Julián is probably the biggest Zappa fan of the group and his vocal on the first track was more directly inspired by Zappa and Beefheart, as Barnabé-ish as it may sound.

Also, if you notice, he says "Iwan Esseboom" in the lyrics. I suggested that. Big smile
(sorry late response, homework madness)
sounds very cool, nice to be able to get that kind of a band together. and yeah it's comparable to Zappa too I guess. haha and I hear the Iwan Esseboom thing now, very nice

Male Pattern Baldness

Ah, a classic of prog for sure.
ture

MPB is this case, however, is Música popular brasileira.

Ah. Didnt realize that was a thing. Cool. I'll definitely listen in the future.

this is very well done, especially when it focused on the instrumental bits.

where are your heavenly golden pipes on this bad boy?
Thanks. I sang on the last track. Not so heavenly on that track unfortunately since my voice was very out of shape when I recorded it, but I wanted to get this out so I didn't re-record them.

ill be the judge of that
