I always wanted a Funkadelic style super group, imagine Jimi Hendrix on guitar, Boots Collins on bass, Bernie Worrell on keys, and Buddy Miles on drums. It would be some of the most insane funky psych rock ever, very unfortunate that Hendrix died so young.

But aside from that, super group would you wish to see? Can be as real or unrealistic as possible

I don't have a dream rock supergroup.
I wish certain bands would release new music, for sure, but I don't see how daydreaming of my favorite musicians collaborating would do me or anyone any good.
In this context, reality is good enough.

Depends on the type of music I want to hear.

Off the top of my head I would always choose Tony Levin. On drums I'd like Steve Jansen. On vocals I'd like David Sylvian and Elizabeth Frazer. On trumpet I'd like Jon Hassell. On guitars I'd like John McLaughlin and/or Ralph Towner. On keyboards I'd like Chick Corea.

Ask me again in ten minutes and I'd come up with a totally different lineup!

My dream rock supergroup? How about Jimi Hendrix on guitars & vocals, Noel Redding on bass and Mitch Mitchell on drums. Now that really would be an Experience worth seeing.

I doubt that would work tho.

It won't be a supergroup till you add Barbara Dennerlein on Hammond and Jan Hammer on Rhodes and synths.

I think I posted this dream band of mine before:

Bob Newhart - lead vocals, flute
Jean Stapleton - lead vocals, keyboards
Abe Vigoda - drums, trombone, vocals
Ron Palillo - guitars, vocals
Barry Williams - guitars, vocals
Eve Plumb - bass guitar, vocals
Dirk Benedict - xylophone, marimba
Joyce DeWitt - saxophone, trumpet
Norman Fell - spoken poetry, various household items

While on tour, they would have Helen Wiggin on a second drum kit. That would be cool.

David Longdon - Vocals
David Gilmour - Guitar
Keith Emerson - Keyboards
Chris Squire - Bass
Neil Peart - Drums

All but one are deceased. And even if this was not so, I doubt if this would work out fine.

A 70’s who’s who of creepy characters . (Except for Joyce Dewitt, who would probably be better suited fore playing the Bone a phone).

Patrick Moraz did such an excellent job on the jazz/fusion inspired Relayer, I would love to see what he could accomplish with this lineup.

Has to be 2 guys to start with
Keith Emerson - Keys
Richie Blackmore - Guitars

After that I'm not sure what I would want. If we are goimg full on 'rock' then
John Bonham - Drums
John Entwistle - Bass

Vocals could be any number of guys. I'm not so bothered and there is no band I love just for vocals. I do like John Wetton a lot but maybe I might go for a weird left field choice such as Bryan Ferry but neither are heavy enough. Perhaps Ozzy Osbourne at his peak but I think I would utlimately plump for Ian Gillan. Great set of pipes and an excellent range. So

Ian Gillan - Vocals
Ritchie Blackmore - Guitars
Keith Emerson - Keys
John Entwistle - Bass
John Bonham - Drums

yep think I've nailed it!

And how about the incomparable Derek Guyler on washboard?
