Dave Hilborne of Nova Cascade has passed away suddenly. A huge talent, he will be very sadly missed in the progressive music community.

Simon House, Keyboard player and violinist with High Tide then Hawkwind for many years and a notable session player and touring member of David Bowie's band has died aged 77.
His work and musicianship with Hawkwind took them to another level and their albums and live work were, without doubt, the very best of their career. The tour they did with him back on keyboards and violin (with Bridget Wishart) in 1990 was an absolute return to form. A colourful character and a superb musician who will be very much missed. RIP Simon.

Just seen this. Very sad news. That show was hot (lips) over here as well, Jim. In fact, my favourite TV show of all time.

RIP to a wonderful actress and icon.

She was an excellent replacement for Sally Kellerman from the film...and had the best butt on TV.

I thought they handled the Hawkeye/Hot Lips relationship well on that show. There was a sexual chemistry that could (mostly) not be acted on, but there was a deep mutual respect as well despite being at odds with each other constantly. Not that easy to pull off convincingly in a sitcom format.

Actually, Winchester was probably my favorite character. Fish out of water.

Loretta Swit was also the original "Cagney" from Cagney & Lacey! Swit & Daly were in the pilot movie together. Swit was to continue but was contractually obligated to continuing with M*A*S*H and its producers wouldn't release her. The role then went to Meg Foster (another underrated actress I like) for its first season only.

Swit mainly worked in television, but she never phoned it in.

RIP.
