Last one of these... I started with comparing a 2025 19 something minute track from Dream Theater and Swans (the Swans was more popular). I then compared a 23 something minute track from the 2025 albums of IQ and Swans, and IQ was more popular, and now I want to do four shorter songs (the only short song on Birthing) that are of similar lengths (within a minute of each other). I do ask people to try to check out some music before voting even if it's just scanning through the tracks to get a feel for the music.

Again, there is no all or none option. If any of these of these are at all to your tastes, which is your preference? And what would be your second pick?

EDIT: Changed it to all ones I have liked and made it vote for as many as you like.

BRUIT ≤ "Data" off The Age of Ephemerality

North Sea Radio Orchestra "All Alice Like" off Special Powers

Stereolab "Melodie Is a Wound" off Instant Holograms on Metal Film

Swans "Red Yellow" off Birthing.

off Birthing.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

I skipped through, and listened to a few seconds each of the songs that weren't by Swans. I'm simply not interested in anything even near those kinds of sounds, approach to vocals/singing - or music creation. I much rather listen to Sabrina Carpenters latest single or whatever. I know they are inspired by some bands I actually like, but still find it strange that it supposedly has some kind of relation to the music actually I'm interested in.

Anyway, Red Yellow for me. A nice little seven minute ditty:)

Edit: my comments were for completely different song than those now included - after Logan changed his mind:)

Before I saw this response I had decided to change it to all tracks that I like, especially the NSRO and Stereolabs which I love. I would have done it sooner, but been having issues with the site running slow. Vote for as many as you like if you want to check those others out. To me this is a huge improvement and I do prefer focusing more on the music that speaks to me even if some others have saiud that I miss all the obvious or good ones. To each their own tastes.

I voted for Swans before I changed up the poll (was already working on preparing that when I saw Saperlipopette!'s message), and will give votes also to Stereolab and North Sea Radio Orchestra.
