Thanks for all your votes Paul! Yeah, but not your typical Opeth album though is it. I adore that record. It's so strange to me that it clicked with me while driving a van with my family on our way to Florida. This was going through Virginia I believe, and everyone was sleeping. Click!

I feel kind of bad for almost writing it off, as I can tell that a lot of work was put in to it.

-I was happy to find their latest effort Salighet to have everything I found a little lacking - in spades. To my ears they've even reached a new artistic peak. It's "retro" alright (as I want them to be), but the arrangements are inventive and engaging - the atmosphere enchanting and mysterious. Not original as such, but originality is overrated. Jordsjø have character.

Choirs Of The Eye is an amazing as well (and actually quite original), but these days I have more of a craving for Salighet:)

I enjoyed your thoughts on Jordsjo. I did pick up their latest, a split with that electronic band. Haven't spun it yet though. My favourite right now is their re-doing of their "Jord" album called "Jord Sessions".

I almost want to vote for all the albums that have nil points. I thought Haken - The Mountain was being hailed as some modern masterpiece?! Anyway my vote is for Zopp - Dominion , an album that I never tire of listening to.

So much amazing music for me since 2018 when Torn joined Sonar for that Vortex recording. That would be five studio albums plus that Live at Moods record. And I have to include those first two Fractal Guitar albums by Stephan Thelen. So much great music.

I need to check them out, all three of their studio albums have high ratings.
