Not to worry. It's no Crises if you're unable to take part in the poll, but Mike Oldfield has recorded more Platinum albums than most, so maybe it's time to be a Voyager of Discovery.

Adele and Taylor Swift both have won many music awards and sold big but I don't buy their albums either. ![]() |

^ Adele's voice, pitch and phrasing are fantastic. No shame in listening to pop if she owns 95% of prog singers with her skillset ![]() And Mike is, ofc, very well worth a listen beyond Tubular Bells and Ommadawn. |

I find Skyfall sung by Adelle and written by Adelle and Paul Epworth really enjoyable (one of my son's favourite films). As for Mike Oldfield: 1. Ommadawn 2. Hergest Ridge 3. Tubular Bells 4. Incantations 5. Amarok I'm not as familiar with any of his other releases. |

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

I'm not sure I heard fully 7 albums from Michel VieuxChamps 5 kind of prefer his sister to him).
Tubular Bells, >> never liked the end of side one (well, it's mainly the vocals that ruined it for me). Omma and Ridge had their moments, but had some parts that ruined the ensemble... Not only is it his style of composition, but some of gis guitar tones grate me the wrong way (like some of Steve Howe's sonic choices would ruffle wrongly my feathers in the same years (GFTO & Tormato) I gave up with QE2 and 5MO and Crises simply turned ne off. Somewhere in there Incantations flew under my radar for decades, and when I finally got to it, it wasn't my stuff anymore. SSsssssoooo, no top 7 and I wouldn't even dare making a top 4. . let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |
