Spa this weekend. It was so wet that Charles Pic went fastest in his Marussia (really, I'm not joking) so I wont bother posting times as only 9 others set one. Apparently the forcast is for better weather for the rest of the weekend. Looks like Lotus wont be running their new double DRS system and Weber has a five place grid penalty for a gearbox change.

I'm all for France coming back...just not at the expense of Spa. Big smile I think they could stil add more races...and some other tracks I wouldn't mind seeing not return...but thats a different discussion.

And oo cool fact. Certainly hoping for the former.

I'd forgotten to mention that. Yes, a three year contract for 13, 14 and 15. It seems that since the change in government the chances of a return for the French GP, alternating with Belgium, have gone. Sort of sad because Paul Ricard would have been a good race track, sort of good because Belgium is now every year.

Fun fact for next weekends race, Kimi has either won or failed to finnish every year he has competed at Spa.

Just heard on Speed that Spa's contract with F1 has been  extended to 2015. Yeehaw I say. (Sorry no link to confirm, but I hope they wouldn't lie to me like that)

Speaking of which Belgium coming up this weekend...finally!!!! My favorite track, most looking forward to it.

Just watched the Silverstone 6 Hours for the World Endurance Championship. Audi won again but only by 55s from the second placed Toyota. If it hadent been for that last saftey car with an hour and a half to go it would probably have been more like 5 seconds instead.

I'll have to read up but it sounds less like track maintenance and more that tit's just not used often, the infield was always very slippy for F1 at the start of the weekend when they raced there.

Today MotoGP at Indianapolis, reigning world champion Casey Stoner is doubt after a big crash yesterday in qualifying practice. Also Nicky Hayden and Hector Barbera suffered heavy crashes and will not race, too bad. Ben Spies also crashed heavily but normally he will be able to race.

The track surface was apparently very tricky, the inside part of the track is not used regularly and the grip level was uneven and unpredictable causing many crashes in all 3 categories, they should do something about it next year, these guys give their best and it's not nice to see them getting injured because of poor track maintenance.

Indeed yesterday morning it was foggy and nodoby dared to go out, I don't blame them!

Yeah, can't imagine going up to the corckscrew and not being able to see!

Excellent job from both Lewis and Kimi.

Congrats to Lewis.
Both Lotus cars on podium, superb.

No real shockers in the points results.
Alonso leads by 40 still and 8 points between 2nd and 5th. Awesome.

Though finally some stability seems to be forming. Top 4 are all in contention and Kimi can't be ruled out though it seems unlikely. Given his position and strong results Alonso is the clear frontrunner. Big smile

I'll probably be watching the olympics, so I won't get to watch Laguna. Tongue  But hopefully they will replay it in the middle of the night. Motorcycle racing is usually on then anyway.
