I treat all VdGG tracks equally anyhow... I cannot think of a single song by them I dislike in anyway, shape or form.

And that includes Imperial Zeppelin and Necromancer. Big%20smile

Hm. There are a couple I consider less amazing than others (White Hammer and After The Flood), but that's it so far. Thing is, I really want to like White Hammer, but g_d are the lyrics for that song uncharacteristically poor.

I love White Hammer! Angry

That song is instant win for me. Big%20smile

After the Flood is permanently stuck in my brain too at the moment.  I consider them both better than Whatever Would Robert Have Said? and The Emperor in his War Room (if there's poor lyrics, that's the one).

The lyrics to The Emperor In His War Room are awesome, tense and allegorical. Those to White Hammer are simply not quite there and incredibly blunt. Even the delivery's not quite as amazing as expected. On the other hand, the instrumental sections are brilliant. After The Flood, I like, but just not as much as I do some of the other pieces. Occasionally it just feels a bit meanderous. Whatever Would Robert Have Said? is one I really like, though.

No.

Just no.

I love all those tracks but The Emperor in his War Room is just not that amazing to my ears.  It's very good to excellent.

White Hammer is epic and you know it.  There's no issue with the vocals.  Now Killer has far from good vocals, compared to White Hammer.

When I get VdGG songs stuck in my brain... none of them are ever The Emperor in his War Room.

I also feel Wondering is a bit of a lesser number... yet it's still a wonderful tune.

I like Whatever Would Robert Had Said? as well but it's no way as good as other tracks, such as Darkness 11/11.

Oh and I almost forgot:

Malleus Maleficarum, slaughtered and tortured

Just no.

I love all those tracks but The Emperor in his War Room is just not that amazing to my ears.  It's very good to excellent.

Well, to each his own. Love Fripp's guitar on that one especially, and the tension is brilliantly crafted.

White Hammer is epic and you know it.  There's no issue with the vocals.  Now Killer has far from good vocals, compared to White Hammer.

I really, really want to like it, but I can't. Killer flattens White Hammer on the vocal front, it's got this unique dark-watery feel and it's more hectic and powerful to my ears. In addition, I love the lyrics to Killer, so...

When I get VdGG songs stuck in my brain... none of them are ever The Emperor in his War Room.

Fair enough. To each his own.

I also feel Wondering is a bit of a lesser number... yet it's still a wonderful tune.

I like Whatever Would Robert Had Said? as well but it's no way as good as other tracks, such as Darkness 11/11.

I do really like both of those. Probably would give the edge to Darkness for the grandeur.

Oh and I almost forgot:

Malleus Maleficarum, slaughtered and tortured

The white hammer of lo-ove... Terrible ending to the vocal section.

I love the guitar on After the Flood by Nik Potter. Big%20smile

I love Killer as well... wonderful sax work by Jaxon but seriously... Fishes Can't Fly, Fishes Can't Fly, Neither Can I, Neither Can I

No... there are fish than can fly and "Fishes" is not the right word anyhow.
