What gets to me a bit Mick is that they could have had the dogs out there the first weekend. But because they consider her a runaway they didn't. Then they think of the dogs 5 days later after 2 inches of rain hit the ground. I think we lost some valuable information from that area. We may have had real evidence she was there. From the eyewittness that reported her almost jogging and that she was early tells me how excited she was to see her lamb! I think they need to grill anyone who was on campus that morning in regards to farm deliveries or had any presence in the area.

Can't add much more Brian except I keep praying for good news - and I keep praying your family can get out of this hell.

The police released this today. Although it really isn't new (they knew about this the first weekend) it has more details than I have been privy too. We always thought somone involved in the Farm area etither as a teacher, volunteer or delivery knows something:
Witnesses Spotted Missing Teen Near Farmyard Driveway
There's new information in the case of missing Escondido teenager Amber Dubois. Two parents who saw Amber walking to school on the day she disappeared tell the News 8 CrimeFighters she was last seen near the entrance to the school's farmyard.
David Wahlquist drives along North Broadway almost every morning to drop off his son and daughter at Escondido High School. It's the same route 14-year-old Amber Dubois used.
"I see her almost every day walking to school, so I recognize her by sight," Wahlquist said.
On Feb. 13, David remembers seeing Amber walking two blocks from the school around 7:10 a.m. - a full 20 minutes before the first bell.
"In fact, I remember thinking oh, she's a little bit early," he said.
The total distance of the route Amber takes from her home to the location of the school is less than a mile, north on Paradise Street, West on Vista Avenue and finally South on Broadway walking toward the school. It was here where two parents in different cars reported seeing Amber walking on the west side of the street.
"She was kind of jogging when I saw her and I thought she just looked like she was in a hurry," Wahlquist said.
The location is right next to a driveway that leads past a school bus maintenance yard and down to the school's livestock farmyard. Amber was excited about getting a new lamb as part of the Future Farmers of America program.
Multiple surveillance cameras monitor the farmyard, and the principal says that students, volunteers and teachers frequently stop by before school. Police have looked at that surveillance tape, but so far, nothing.
"There is that possibility that she went in that direction. Reports are she was seen around that driveway. It's a possibility, but it's not showing up on the video," Escondido Police Lt. Craig Carter said.
Police say the surveillance tape is grainy, making it difficult to positively identify any student.
Another possible lead - Amber may have been walking with an unidentified male student about six feet tall with a dark complexion.
"We think that there's a piece of that puzzle that the kids can offer us that we're not getting, so we're really encouraging the kids at Escondido High School and the kids in front of the high school to give us a call with whatever they think might be pertinent," Lt. Carter said.
One classmate told police he may have seen Amber on Grand Avenue near Palomar Hospital. There was another sighting near Rincon Avenue and Conway, but those sightings are unconfirmed, and it's been 17 days since Amber disappeared.
"It's hard to think what it would be like to know where your daughter is," Wahlquist said.
The witnesses say there were a lot of students walking to school on North Broadway that morning. If you were there and you remember seeing Amber, call Escondido police. You can remain anonymous.

This situation, Amber and her relatives are always in mind. I'm not that religious, but I've been praying a lot.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Just saying you think of us is enough. Thank you for taking time to respond. If you look back a few pages (Page 3) you will see a post from Stacy (my better3/4 and Ambers blood Aunt) using my log on and read what she thinks of all of you who took the time to read or respond. You are all much appreciated. I also come here to talk music sometimes and escape a little.
I feel bad because I haven't been listening to music much. Stacy in order to calm her nerves has us on a three cd diet. Izz's I Move (mostly for the song Light From Your Eyes) Paul Bremer's Womb Song and The Two Towers Soundtrack (btw all excellent CDs). So you know what? You can all listen for me (us). One song that comes to mind is Kansas The Wall. Pretty much comes up the situation right now. Karn Evil 9, Tarkus are others that run through my head. So my mind is not calm. I am asking for your help.
Think of Amber and look at her pictures. Think of her riding her horse or believing she was a wolf (her favorite animal her room is full of statues and pics them) or a teen vampire (yes very into that book Twilight) and then tell me a song that describes her to yourself.
Of course prayers and good thoughts are always accepted.

I know this is easy for me to say, but as long as her status is unknown, there is hope. Please, hold on to it.
A different situation but comparably harrowing for the family, I guess - in 1989 a man was hit by a train in a town some sixty kilometers from where I live. He lay in a coma... until 2007, when he woke up. His family had to endure eighteen years of struggle for hope, but it paid off. So you see, things can and do turn out for the best when you least expect them to.

Sorry that there is no good news about this at the moment. I can't believe people are like that when it comes to the flyers.

I wish I had good news.
Well we handed out, posted or asked merchants in the are to display her poster. 19,000 went out. and not one real clue yet. 17 days today and it gets tougher and tougher to hope she is OK. I saw the father yesterday. He hadn't slept in three days. His friend had taken him to the ER that morning and he was treated for sever depression. Most of the rest of the immediate family is taking tranquilizers just to cope. Stacy broke down big time last night. Thanks for the support and prayers they are needed. Make sure to include the family as they are wearing very thin. Now to the b*****ds that keep taking the flyers down!

I saw the AMW show tonight too and am still thinking of this family every day. I've never met Amber but from these profiles, wow, what a sweet kid, enjoys animals and novels they said. Hang in there Brian and family, lots of people pulling for you!!

Been lurking on this thread and, having a daughter who is not that much older, I have been reluctant to post because I both can and cannot imagine the worry. My prayers are with you and your family.

This is from Nancy's website:
About Nancy Grace
"Nancy Grace" is television's only justice themed/interview/debate show, designed for those interested in the breaking crime news of the day. Grace challenges guests on the most high-profile legal issues of the day by drawing on her unique perspective as a former violent crimes prosecutor and as a crime victim herself. Nancy Grace provides viewers with a clear understanding of not only the top crime stories, but also the cases often overlooked.
