Governments are a necessary inconvenience - in a perfect world we wouldn't need them, and this is not a perfect world.Governments help make this world more perfect but much more imperfect too when they are like the ones in the region I come from or the one they eventually want the US one to become.

Politics are an unnecessary inconvenience - in a perfect world and an imperfect world politics should keep it's nose out of business, unions, employment, economics, science, religion, education and most of all out of government.Politics are a normal consequence of positions of power available for grabs. They, and government, should keep out of most of the things you mention. Government is tied to politics, always.

Trying to make a normally imperfect world into a perfect one might be the most unnecessary inconvenience.

Employers need qualified employees. If all the good employees are unionized, and if they refuse to work for you unless you run a closed shop, many employers would agree to those terms. I have no problem with that as long as the government doesn't interfere on either side, which unfortunately they do.
I still have a mindset about unions here like unions in my country. That I haven't really adapted in my mind to yet. I guess some of my misconceptions arise from that point. I can agree with what Logan says.

When I watch this I don't know whether to laugh or cry.  Apparently, RG3 isn't black enough for some guy on ESPN.

I completely agree with this, which is why I oppose right-to-work laws in the private sector (I have explained why I think the public sector is different.) I also oppose the laws that grant special protection to unions, such as employers not being able to legally fire striking workers, and anti-discrimination laws in the private sector.  You are absolutely right that the government should stay out of it and let the parties work things out for themselves.

Now this is interesting.  If a little far-fetched.

Our elected officials would be a lot more entertaining if we went back to handling disputes like this.

Or just a good ol' fashioned brawl.Cool
