Danish black metal that's rooted in the raw droning soundscapes of cold vaguely folky riffing in the vein of Darkthrone's Transsilvanian Hunger, but with somewhat more ambitiously developing song structure with tempo shifts across several sub-movements in each song and a more conventional sense of melody kinda in the veins of Swedish acts like Arckanum and Dawn identifying them as the other big inspiration source. No, it's not quite on the same level as TH or the best records of those two other groups, but it is a pretty good album and the 15-minute closing epic is one of the most impressive traditional black metal songs I've heard in a while.

The self titled and only release by this symphonic/progressive rock band from Mexico City. Recorded in 1981 and released in 1997 the album is heavy with keyboards and strong bass backed by some fine guitar highlights. All songs are instrumental.

Palepoli (1972) is the third album by RPI band Osanna. There are a variety of sounds that make up the two long tracks and one short track. It's a good mix of guitar (Danilo Rustici), synth/Mellotron, sax/flute and a strong bass/drums rhythm section. They will sometimes drift out there but they come right back.
