I didn't watch this at the time, but holy sh*t they f**ked up the mix for the broadcast. And Fergie trying to sing like Axl at 3:50...

And Christina skipped a verse of the national anthem hahahaha

I don't know.
Found the pic years ago and asked on several different sites. No one has ever had a single clue.

One person thought the pic was staged, citing how clean the break looked. I can see that, and part of why I was intrigued by the pic is how odd it looks. Still, I wasn't exactly sure I believed the idea that some rich guy with some old F1 car taking for a spin (not sure if that's happened even?) sawing off the nose to make a joke pic.
But yeah, no one ever knew who it was/when it happened (if it did).

EDIT: Gotta love the internet. http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/anything-about-alfa-romeos-alfabb-com/6155-big-accident-monterey-historics.html
It IS real. Ermm

I wanted to say that the car looks like a Ferrari, but now that you find the source I can't claim anything anymore. Tongue

I love the superbowl, but I hate the bullsh*t fake patriotism that must precede it. This isn't ancient Rome. We don't need to glorify the empire before our bloodsports.

As an outsider that is quite the spectacle, I have to say. The Rome comparison isn't bad.

I wouldn't know. I turned it off and watched Stanford and Son during the halftime show.

Oh man we get more similar by the day.
I didn't watch that, listened to some Opeth instead, but yeah I didn't even bother watching.

I was cleaning up my kitchen while my wife and in-laws were watching it.

Normally, I skip all pre-game and halftime things.  I try to turn the TV on right at kickoff.

It always amazes me how horrible most "celebrities" sound singing the National Anthem.  They almost always seem to butcher it by trying to make it their personal song instead of just singing it the way it is supposed to be sung.  I didn't really realize how bad she butchered it until this morning when I saw that she sang the wrong words.

Thank You Scott!
Glad I'm not the only one.

I hate watching the anthem, they almost always butcher it! IMHO it should be sung, put emotion in sure but yes, they always make WAY over dramatic. As you said, make it their own song.....

SB recovery day today, I've done absolutely nothing else but lay on the couch with a laptop listening to Sabbath and the Beatles. I did eat a bit once.

Same for me. I watch local pregame, but never national.

The weird part about her screwing it up so bad though, as I have always heard that they pre-record it before hand and the artist just lip-synchs it because it is such a huge event they don't want to take a chance on it getting screwed up.  I guess they must have decided to try something new this year.  Oops.
