Yeah, Opeth's on my mind. I'm hoping it's a full album of Harvest's, Isolation Years', Windowpane's, and Patterns in the Ivy's. Won't be, though. I never got into Symphony X in the first place, and DT lost me ever since Train of Thought.

"Feather" from Ghost was released as a free single and I like it quite a bit.

Did you hear "Throat of Winter" the most recent soundtrack single from Opeth? I think it may be our best hint at what the new sound will be, though I hope the songwriting is a little more developed. If it is, I will be delighted.

DT lost me after Awake. Big smile

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Primus has a new album coming out in July too. Shall it be included?

I just now heard a rough version of it. It reminds me of Porcupine Tree (which is a group I only just acclimated myself with). At least, it sounds more alternative gothic rock-ish (no complaints, here). I agree with you that if the songwriting's made a bit more...eventful(?) then I'd probably like it a lot.

Ray Bennett has been mixing & re-mixing his latest "Flash" CD for ages now, I expect that this will also be released in 2011.   From what I've heard, it will be good.

Eh, it's all right. I don't really consider myself a really huge prog fan, so I have no idea what most of these artists are.

Pendragon was good, Phideaux was ok.

Looking forward to big name releases: Opeth, Dream Theater, Rush (?), King Crimson (it counts in my book), Yes, Porcupine Tree, Steve Wilson.

If someone could recomment some folky neo-prog/ neo folky-prog kinda stuff like early Mostly Autumn, then that would be nice. It's all I really care to discover out of new progressive rock music.

Such a long list for me, there's no way I could ever end it.

Snowtorch is a huge standout, Maybeshewill just released an excellent album and Van Der Graaf Generator made a beautiful record.

And there's been quite a few jazz releases worth noting like Iro Haarla Quintet's Vespers.

Apparently Gungfly (Rikard Sjoblom's (of Beardfish) other band) were recording a new album, which is now out today in their shop.
