I read it the first time for enjoyment back when I was 15 and it blew my mind.

Exactly.

I've been wanting to read for fun again (college killed ANY want to do so, same with writing)
Maybe I'll start with that book Big smile

Have you read Dracula? Also, Stephen King's The Stand and Yasutaka Tsutsui's Salmonella Men on Planet Porno. Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series is good if you like fantasy. And if you haven't read The Cather in the Rye yet, do so.

U mad bro?

Not really, but her bullsh*t on Facebook is so damn irritating. I blocked her but then periodically I remember she exists then I have a whole trove of dumb posts to unlock. One minute she's "Baww I gotta find me man," then it's "Here's pics of me standing by my man xoxoxo <3" then "Baww my man left me because I am apparently batsh*t crazy."

Haha I'm a terrible person.

Wow, Kevin. Just because you don't understand the book doesn't give you the right to insult it. I know that that makes me sound like a pretentious douche, but it's unfortunately true. Big smile

Actually I never did read Catcher in the Rye, and I have to.

It's one of those books man.
Even if I end up hating it, I have to at least read it ya know?

It's very possible that you won't like after finishing it for the first time. Most people don't. Give yourself time to think about it after you're done.

I gave enough thought afterwards to realize that I didn't like Holden Cauffield.

I did enjoy the writing style though.

The good thing is Anthony I'll be reading it without expectations.

I always heard SO much about I wanted to avoid it (I tend to do the same with movies and video games LOL)
But now that I don't hear about it I can take an honest read.
