James, recommend me a good PC RPG which is not Neverwinter Nights/Diablo/Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale/Planescape: Torment.

Plus Fallout and Fallout 2.

Did you complete Planescape: Torment?  I never did.  Hahaha.  One day I will.  I'll even get out of Sigil one day too.

@Vomps: I downloaded NetHack a few weeks ago but hardly played it

Similar to NetHack (as it's a Roguelike) and better, in my opinion, is Ragnarok.

And yes, Arcanum is awesome.  It's got a good story, it's not typically RPG, as it's SteamPunk and it's isometric, which obviously is awesome.

You may also want to try the first Elder Scrolls games.  Not my cup of tea though.

Might check out Arena/Daggerfall, although not sure if I'll get into them.


I've got this compulsion with CRPGs where I usually roll my character and play the first 2-3 hours a few times to find a build I like. I've only gotten about 4-5 hours into the game with somewhat of a warrior build so far.
