"Leather Goods" - Frank Zappa. Holy Censored, the way he fused the descending riff of "Astronomy Domine" with the main riff of "Dazed And Confused"... wow.
He looks at this world and wants it all... so he strikes, like Thunderball!

Just listening to Italian band GOAD - the 2lp set 'In The House Of Dark Shining Dreams' on the Black Widow label.
I bought this around 8 years ago, and I've tried to appreciate it. Believe me.
Black Widow - you fail with this one..
Nothing but absolute RUBBISH - crap production values, so murky and lo-fi, sounds like really cheap gear all 'round (gimme Crimso's Earthbound any day of the week), the credited organ, Mellotron and Moog must be eminating from some plastic, Yamaha keyboard from the 80's - the sounds are that limp, fake, cheesy etc. The lead singer is just a joke. I mean, bad English can be excused, but a strained, forced and half-assed voice cannot. I'm convinced the guy can't sing to save his life. Guitars are often out of tune, and the violin just doesn't belong here. The drums sound like mud. Lifeless. The bass, sounds like he's using 3 year old strings. Dead. If this was what they were aiming for, then good for them. This is THE WORST album in my collection.
Believe me. I tried.
