We were supposed to get only 2-4 inches... but it seems we're going to get more than that. w00t! UNIVERSITY JUST OFFICIALLY CANCELED. All my teachers were individually canceling their classes. About time there's an official closing. The roads are actually pretty intense, and one of the major interstates is shut down.

I am anticipating similar road and work closures.
Now Playing: ELP cover version of 21st Century Schizoid Man. Only band that can do it with the original voice of the song.

It is pretty good. A little extra keyboard work as you might expect with Emerson involved.
Their boxset "The Return of the Manticore" is a pretty straightforward boxset, but it does start out with ELP remaking Touch and Go from ELPowell, Hang On To A Dream from The Nice, 21st Century Schizoid Man from The Nice, and Fire from The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. They then do a studio version of Pictures of an Exhibition, which can also be heard on the In the Hot Seat album. Most of the rest are just studio versions that can be found on their other albums, but it is still a pretty nice collection of songs.

I was going to go to Denny's for a free breakfast today, but I just know I'd get there and go, "Meh, I'm not waiting an hour to eat alone."

I think that I'd have to drive an hour just to find a Denny's. They've closed all of them that were in my general vicinity. I honestly don't even know where any are at this point. I should run a map just to check.

I heard a lot of stories from the last time they did it. Most not being very pretty (think 2-4 hours of waiting in line and one riot).

That is one of the most interesting breakfast combinations I've ever heard of, Robert. And PA's spell check thought 'combinations' wasn't a word at first.

We got some more snow today. For my reaction to it, see Alex's post at the top of the page. And don't you guys already have enough on the ground there, Pat? I have some relative outside of Baltimore who got about 2 feet.

You'd think there would be. My breakfast was a banana and a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios.

1st wave of snow was just a light dusting of the roads and cars. Stay tuned later for more to come.
