Trust me when I say I'm happy to associate with you all.  It's a huge consolation to me.  Thanks.

Well likewise - it's really nice having you around here.  Smile

Hope everything gets sorted out - I know it's been one thing after another for you.  Ouch

Well for once...the new troubles don't come from finances, but from a I girl I met once in person and planned on marrying (I met her at 12 and we wrote for years).  She still has feelings for me to this day (despite three children of her own).  I just had a long conversation with her.

It's a long damn story, but I love my wife, and had I gone a different road, would not have my son (and new upcoming child).  Despite the crap that's come around, could it honestly be any better than this?

I suspect no.  With Simon...no it can't.

Up is a new animated Pixar movie with Ed Asner that is showing in some theaters in 3-D.

This was also on another forum. They were talking about Tool and the main reason many people
don't like them is because of its fans. They assume Tool is just for depressed high school loners.
I mean wtf?

Agreed. That is the #1 reason I have heard for people not liking Tool. Never got it. Confused

Good music is good music...

I'll Third this.

I've seen a commercial for that, but that's all I know.

I know where you're coming from.  Life could have had a different outcome had different choices been made, but I have no regrets, I've ended up in such a wonderful situation.

Dang. Did I miss the Rush bashing thread? It seems to no longer exist.

It's called "Popular Prog Bands you just couldn't get into", I think.  Main prog lounge.

Something nice happened to me earlier today, when I visited one our favourite secondhand music stores, in the City of Fairfax. I found Gnidrolog's Lady Lake there (great album btw), and was paying at the checkout, when I struck a conversation with the owner, and mentioned my collaboration with PA. Well, he couldn't believe his ears... He knows us, and used the site frequently for reference and research. He was almost honoured to have me as a customerSmile! So, you see, we do have a reputation to uphold...

Scott, I just posted about that thread on 'bands you can't get into' in the Forum Abuse Report. It's going to turn ugly very soon, I fear, and we don't really need something like that.

As I said in the thread, you can't expect BaldFriede or BaldJean to come to PA without saying something about their dislike for Rush.  Que sera sera.  Of course all of the new followers show up to echo the comments is when it becomes nasty.

Alex, I just saw your comment about Octahedron being disappointing... Could you please elaborate on that? I preordered the album from Amazon, and will get it by the end of the month.
