It has to do with bandwidth, and yours is small compared to Stonie's (his is 2 MB I think). Of course the image should be cached after it is first loaded so it's not such a problem, but I can see why it would be courteous to use smaller gifs for people who have slow connections.

I'll change it when I get complaints from people who aren't Henry. Meaning someone who doesn't complain about everything.
