My brother's playing Medieval Total War at the moment. His latest achievement is taking over a large part of France. I should play that game one day.

You should play AOE II first. Wink

Different games. Try both. I seem to be one of the few who thought that AOE III was generally as good as II, even if the campaign was lame.

AOE III was good, but I felt like it was a step down after II. Still a great game though.

AOE II and AOM were roughly equal overall for me. I was slightly better at AOM, and thus found it slightly more interesting from that respect. On the other hand, AOE II had really awesome campaigns, while AOM (and just about everything since, Warcraft III excepted) was more or less mediocre and AOE III's sucked.
