Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a hidden gem I’ve recently come across that I think deserves some serious attention from fans of atmospheric progressive metal and rock. It’s called “In the Mist She Was Standing” by Primaluce. This album isn’t just a collection of songs; it’s a sonic journey through shadows, dreams, and melancholy. Imagine walking a foggy path where every step reveals another layer of your own soul—this is exactly the feeling this album captures. Musically, it blends delicate acoustic passages with powerful electric guitars, creating a tapestry of sounds that balances the ethereal and the heavy. Each of the six tracks forms an emotional map where solitude, mystery, and death intertwine. From the haunting opener “I Am Nothing” to the closing “The Hollow Grove,” every song feels like a piece of a puzzle waiting to be discovered. The lyrics are especially evocative—think nocturnal visions of fog, ancient spirits, dark oceans, and silent forests. They’re poetic and immersive, offering a glimpse into a world where shadows dance and memories fade. What I love most is that this album demands to be experienced slowly, like a journey inward. It’s not background music—it’s a portal to another dimension, a place where music becomes both shadow and light. If you’re a fan of albums that create a world of their own—where every note feels intentional and every word resonates—I highly recommend giving “In the Mist She Was Standing” a listen. Let me know what you think if you give it a spin! Hi,
This is very nice and enjoyable, although I'm not sure it quite fits within a progressive idea, but the songs are really well done, tasteful and then some and end up feeling very special. It is, very poetic in both the lyrics and in the way that the music is laid out to support the lyrics. A really nice album, that hopefully more folks will listen to. It's not every day that you get some work that is "personal" and is not attached to some idea or other. This is about each and every song, and it is really well done. |

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
