My fav music DVDs so far: Dream Theater " Scenes From New York " It doesn´t get any better than this. Peter Gabriel " Growing Up Live " There´s still passion in the old " Flower " Jethro Tull " Living With The Past " The old Minstrel still delivers. Frank Zappa " Baby Snakes " ALOT of boring silly stuff on this one, BUT the music is among the best he ever did. Edited by Velvetclown |

'Rush In Rio' (Probably my favourite music DVD) 'Merlin - Bard Of The Unseen' - Kayak (A bit 'Cheesy' but I love it!) 'Meet The Flower Kings' (has some great bonus footage plus the sound quality is the best I've ever heard for a music DVD) 'Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii' (a must for every prog fan and now available for under a 'tenner'!) 'Works Orchestral DVD' - ELP (it's in mono and the picture quality isn't great but hey, never mind ..it's ELP performing live with a sixty peice orchestra in front of 80,000 odd fans!) |

- 'Comming of Age', Camel: A great live concert and some pretty iteresting rehersal footage. - Curriculum Vitae, Camel: A good documentary, although it is a rather short DVD. I wish they could have got the rights to feature entire clips as bonus, but you can't have it all. - Yes Symphonic: Godd concert, a fairly bland and amateurish bonus documentary. - Yesspeak: It's just that: too many interviews. Better getting the Yestory DVD, wich I've seen on video. - The Story So Far, Mostly Autumn: Very good. I like the interviews between songs, as in the Living with the Past Jethro Tull DVD. - 30 Years On, The Strawbs: a great reunion concert, featuring several line-ups. The quality is not very good: it seems it wasn't recorded to release it. - Grave New World/Live in Tokyo, Strawbs: The first is a terribly dated 'filmed album', although it's good for a laugh and to check out how much music videos a visual language have evolutioned. The second part is a good concert from the time of the Ghost album, my favourite from this band. - Live at last, Pendragon: a good concert, although from 'The masquerade Overture' tour, whlie my favourite Pendragon album is 'Not of this World'. But you can't have it all! - A Knight's Tale, Caravan: Very good set list, very good line up, good quality. |

Led Zeppelin - finally a DVD that showed how good they really were. Deja Vroom (King Crimson) - rather innovative! Pictures at an exhibition (ELP) - shows their aggressive creativity. Yessymphonic - wonderfull tribute to a memorable tour, my fav DVD at the moment. Brutally Live (Alice Cooper) - great fun and horror parodies, even some good playing. Marily Manson should watch out if this guy takes on.

"richardh, perhaps this is something for you. http://www.dprp.net/reviews/200423.html#elp" This release has not been endorsed by the ELP management (explains the lack of interviews and bonus material), who is working on finally getting an excellent and comprehensive ELP DVD package on the market. Probably this autumn. |

Rush - In Rio (though I wish the sound was a bit better) Toto - Live in Amsterdam (was there myself) Yes - Yessymphonic (again, I was there) Dream Theater - Scenes from NY (thrilling) Pink Floyd - At Pompeii (a classic, better than studio) Queen - Live at Wembley (ultimate Queen show)

I just got Rush in Rio. Great experience. Wish I could afford to see them live. Concert ticket prices are outrageous. I've got some YES and ALLAN HOLDSWORTH stuff on VHS. |

I've got the Masters From The Vault DVD.Apparently it's an 'unofficial release'.According to those 'in the know' this footage is to be remastered and included on an official DVD of rare ELP performances, interviews etc (much like the Led Zep DVD) scheduled for release later in the year.

Lets see: 1.- Kansas....Device, Voice, Drum: Never had a Kansas DVD before this one and always wanted one, they may be older but still a wonderful concert. 2.- Roger Waters....In the Flesh Live: Closer to Pink Floyd than most Pink Floyd DVD's. 3.- Peter Gabriel....Secret World: Amazing experience, perfect concert. 4.- Steve Hackett....Tokyo Tapes: Great music and amazing musicians. 5.- Rush....Rush in Rio: Rush was never my cup of tea, but after this DVD I changed my mind.
