Topic: In Support Of Tony R... Posted: August 02 2005 at 18:15 |
I can't help feeling sorry for poor old Tony; there appear to be a couple of threads on the go at the moment, which are casting aspertions on his good character, and standing within this forum.
It has been implied that his posts are sometimes direct to the point of rudeness and often sarcastic, using a base level of humour at the expense of other members.
I would just like to point out that I for one have not noticed this, and wish to encourage Tony R's use of this forum. If any member feels that Tony sometimes portrays an abrupt manner in his posts, then I would implore you to first withold judgement until you have visited Bolton, in the Metropolitan County of Greater Manchester, and witness the urban deprivation at first hand.
Only then will you understand how we are so often a product of our environment, and would agree with me that Progarchives offers him some momentary release from the daily struggle.
Consequently, I'd like you all to add messages of support and encouragement to Tony on this thread, in his hour of need.
WE'RE HERE FOR YOU TONY!

Either your really funny, or really stupid.
Yes a death metal band............I think you need to redefine your genres of music, I'm preety sure Yes never included anything about death or any elements of metal in their music, mabey hard rock in some songs, but not death metal.

This is not an attack on the person who made the "Either your really funny, or really stupid." post but clearly an indication of what I/we are up against. How can you not end up accidently upsetting people who have no sense of irony whatsoever?
How could he possibly think Ed_The_Dead was being serious??????

In the beginning Tony made 'the light.' Shortly thereafter Tony made three big mistakes. The first mistake was called MAN, the second mistake was called WO-MAN, and the third mistake was the invention of THE POODLE. Now the reason the poodle was such a big mistake is because Tony originally wanted to build a Schnauzer, but he f**ked up.

Whilst I wholeheartedly support the basis of this thread, I would council caution; the combination of multiple personality disorder (Reed Lover - Tony R), the frequently hysterical bile-fuelled outbursts and the effect of location on such a fragile ego (as pointed out by our Scouse - or is that secret woollyback? - correspondent) all lead to one thing:
That most dangerous creature on God's great earth:
The Paranoid Schitzophrenic Mancunian
Again - I council caution; such an entity should not be approached, and sightings should be reported immediately to The Council Of Superior Southerners, especially if he were to attempt to leave the frozen northern wastes in search of food.
Sorry - what was the question again?
