For live performances I think Pat Metheny uses guitar synths more often than Fripp.

The guitar synth also played a minor role on "Somewhere In Time" by Iron Maiden and "Turbo" by Judas Priest.

The guitar synth in "Out in the Cold" on Turbo was pretty cool.
