I was excited when John (Mellotron Storm) put up his "6" polls because especially 1996 and 2006 are very favourite years of mine. And the other sixes are great too. I decided that I wanted to do sorts of complementary or accessory polls to his "Six" polls covering 1966, 1976 and 1986, as well as a second with 1996, 2006 and 2016. Here is his Six II poll for ease of reference.

This is based on my AP list, and Bowie Blackstar is listed at number one for 2016, and Swans' Soundtracks for the Blind is listed at number one for 1996, but I am not duplicating John's choices. He has many favourites of mine in his great polls.

This poll might seem a bit more limited in scope or vision than his in a way, as I am plowing certain furrows these years. This is focused on music that is very meaningful to me now (I'm not covering albums that I have not listened to in many years) and this is all stuff that I have covered in other topics. It is pretty same-old same old from me. So it's limited in scope in that my current (last few years) tastes aren't the broadest, but I do cover music in and out of PA. That said, I do think the great majority could be PA worthy and would hope that there would be much to like for people into art and progressive music.

Keeping in the spirit of John's polls, this is not multiple choice (I generally prefer to do multiple choice), but instead I ask people to choose but one to vote for (if they like) and mention as many as they wants in a post. I am more interested in the contents of the post, and seeing what actual members like (would disable silent voting if I could for my polls) commonly than the poll itself (seeing the results of the options), but both do have interest to me.

Again I'm going for some symmetry with how many I choose for each year while wanting to maximise all 25 slots (wish we had more poll options).

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I observed before. It can be much like that with music for me; immersed in experiencing the moment.

There's about a half dozen I could vote for here but "House In The Tall Grass" gets it. I need to find more records from this band. I just love their sound.
