The Division line (ajja)

   So, today listening to both Dream Theater and Sonata Arctica (now, DM's wayyy better) I started thinking, were do we find that tiny line that divies Power Metal of Progressive Metal.
Both got Synth both got wierd influences for a hard band, maybe the singers, but mind me, Geddy Lee schrees high enough for anyone to consider him gothic (although rush not being metal), and Mike Portony can beat the hell out of any of those over exited Power Metal Drummers. So Were's the Diferrence???, where do you put the line? I would say, although it sounds pathetic, the estethic, Power insists in Elves, dragons, demons, castles, horseback riding, and knights, also in wearing leather, and beig completly white (skin). Where Progressive guy are more relaxed, not pushing so hard in appearence.
Any way, another question: Wich you consider better? And your favourite bands on each stile?
I would Say. Dream Theater, and Sonata Arctica, maybe Nightwish.
