Well not quite.
At the moment, I'm listening to Different Strings (Chris Mallia) and the "Classic Rock" cover CD featuring stuff like Spock's Beard, The Flower Kings....
...and, of course, One Day a New Horizon by Protos, and Passing decades by Rory Ridley-Duff - both just re-released :)
It is fascinating trying to catch up after so many years out of the music biz. I've found there are a clutch of musicians hailing from my home town that have all made it into the worldwide prog scene one way and another. It is almost like a school reunion.......but not the "can of worms.com" variety - at least not yet.
This is a friendly site - much friendlier than Google.

Hi,
I'm from Sheffield (originally from West Sussex - Chichester/Bognor area). There are many of us who've progressed musically.
Nick May (recently on Classic Rock), Mark Rowbottom (Thieves Kitchen), Iain Carnegie (works with Gordon Giltrap and as a producer for the Phil Collins 'Little Dreams' Foundation), Nigel Rippon (Stone Crazy).....
We all hail from the Chichester/Bognor area and were nutured by the Airship Studio (now defunct). They helped many local bands by producing a compilation album called Seaside Rock and also organised gigs called "Rock at the Regis" in 1982 to showcase local talent. It was a great idea - invite 4 local bands who bring their friends and everyone plays to a full theatre.
We still have the recordings.....and they're going to be release in January!

Keyboard player. Learnt on an organ before my mother would allow synthesizers into the house. Went on to study music (piano/composition) and produced a few albums. Just getting back into it after many years break.

I have been teaching myself bass guitar for about 9 months. I am taking lessons for piano. I can play some simple beats on the drums and can strum a few chords on the guitar.

Maybe I will find someone to jam with. I desperately need a drummer. I believe it helps the bassist and drummer expand their skills.

It does indeed. I started by jamming/writing music with the lad who sat next to me in English classes. That carried on for 5 years, then we released our first album.
We're still good friends (25 years on) and planning to release our second album together. He was a guitarist. It worked well.

From the few samples I heard, it sounds really good. I will try and find a way to buy one of them, when I have the money that is.
