Topic: La Carozza di Hans by PFM Posted: November 08 2007 at 15:19 |
I've just listened to La Carozza di Hans again and i'm just curious, if anyone has the same problem with the song as i do: at 4:55 when the guitar does the walk-up thingy the hihat tries to acconpany it but doesn't quite make it because it is completely off meter - then, appearently, they just punched in a drum-upbeat to get the tempo of the following part. it sounds very glued together and the wonderful masterpiece "storia di un minuto" is not worthy of such an embarrasing moment. i absolutely love this song but those seconds are just irritating to me. is it just me, or am i not the only one who has noticed this?

Sorry, I can't understand your problem. I found that passage intelligent and also "colourful", and beautiful. And even if you don't like it, these seconds cannot ruin an album like this. (I admit that I prefer a bit Per Un Amico, but SDUM is still fantastic)

I'll agree with the previous two posters: excellent song and the particular passage is indeed very difficult to pull off, but if there's any question as to whether they glued it together, then just listen to a live version - they nail it from the one's I've heard.
