I am suggesting the following updates to the Reformation bio based on their current website: https://sites.google.com/reformationband.com/about

The Reformation is a progressive rock band formed in Pittsburgh in 2010, consisting of multi-instrumentalists Kyle Brower, Matt Penco, Freddie August, Caroline Schneider, and Dan Miller. The name stems from the literal reformation of a defunct group into a more evolved band; in the figurative sense, they attempt to reform music into their own interpretations.

Their sound can be likened to many artists, but primarily The Mars Volta, Pink Floyd, Audioslave, King Crimson, Mumford & Sons, and Rush. Consequently, their own style is a melting pot of many different types of music. They create catchy jazz-funk dance songs while simultaneously incorporating more unconventional elements of heavy psychedelia, atonality, and experimental improvisations. While remaining progressive, they strive for a commercially viable style. Because of this, their songs open the average listener's ears to multifaceted music with developed musicianship and a tight sound.

They released their self-titled debut album in 2011, their second album Fatal Expectation in 2013, and their first EP Power Trip in 2020. The facetious lead single from Power Trip, “Ghost House Funk”, was added to Mascot Label Group’s Spotify playlist The Funk Garage: A Collection of Our All Time Favorite Funky Tunes.

"From Rush-style prog to operatic rock to psyche-y soul a la 'Ball of Confusion'-era Temps, The Reformation's second release is all over the map, but the band seems comfortable there. [...] Some really good musical moments here, though:  'A Grave Path' may be the highlight of the album, and the spacey noir jazz of 'Fell and Forgotten' is beautiful [...] this band could be onto something." —Andy Mulkerin, Pittsburgh City Paper, Jan. 2, 2014

"I like [the Fatal Expectation] album quite a bit. These guys are pretty amazing musicians and the range of sounds is pretty impressive. [...] However you slice this beast, it’s creative, inventive, and pretty darned cool." —G.W. Hill, Music Street Journal:  2014 Volume 2

^ I agree that something in the current bio is obsolete now.
Examples:
"These young ... musicians" (they are less younger now).
or
"In 2015, they began recording tracks for their third release, an EP, which is slated for a 2016 release. The Reformation is an independent act currently seeking a record label that will assist in promotion, distribution, and tour support."

But I'd expect less detailed (who cares of "88.1 WCRX-FM Columbia College in Chicago" or "DJ Duane Williams' and his 90.7 WWOZ-FM New Orleans show What’s New"?) but more informative text.

Cool, I went back and edited my post trimming some of the fat. I left the sentence about Mascot Label Group promoting them because they are a notable label.

Let me know what you think of the changes.

Maybe as an addition to Baku Llamas current biography???  I'm not much of a writer.
Thanks for updating my link.

  BIOGRAPHY... Update 2024
Bakullama (formerly Baku Llama) is an alternative progressive duo from Walla Walla Washington in the U.S. Formed by Composer and keyboardist, Rick Whitehurst, along with Guitarist and Bass player Kalvin Foster. United by their interest in creating unusual compositions, Soundscapes, and storytelling cinematic music... Sometimes even melodic 'songs'.
Bakullama's Music is a fusion of genres, odd instrumental passages with eclectic Jazz, Rock, and Avant Garde influences.
Despite their Underground and outsider status, the band has managed to build a small following amongst fans of eclectic, progressive music who appreciate their unusual and laid-back approach to the very 'Mature' and somewhat complicated "Prog" genre.
Rick Whitehurst was formerly the keyboardist for the first Baku Llama (Two words) and played alongside Guitarist David Bernath and his Wife Ann Bernath (Drums, Vocals, Piano). As Baku Llama they released an album called 'ERIS' in 2007. ERIS was widely reviewed favorably and was a personal success for the band, but they split up due to Whitehurst's move from Los Angeles to Washington State. which unfortunately put an end to Baku Llama.
Kalvin Foster, a native Walla Walla resident has played guitar in many bands in and around his hometown, including the Metalcore band "For What May Come".
He is a very experimental and innovative guitarist who brings with him some new ideas and sounds. He also plays bass guitar. They're Debut album together was called 'Sleepers', and was released in April of 2024. Two old unpublished songs from the original Baku Llama were re-worked and utilized on the album.

Thanks, good updates.
But to keep more of the band's history, I'd suggest to combine the old bio with your text. I see it like this:

======================================================================

Founded in 2007 (?) as BAKU LLAMA. Changed name to BAKULLAMA in 2024 (?).

BAKU LLAMA was a three piece Avant garde progressive rock band based in Duarte, California, but also in Walla Walla, Washington where Rick has recently relocated. The band was formed of: David Bernath on guitar and bass guitar, Ann Bernath on drums, vocals and sometimes piano and Rick Whitehurst on electric piano.

The band's musical influences are diverse: from Nels CLINE, VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR and Peter HAMILL to KING CRIMSON, John COLTRANE and PORCUPINE TREE, from DISCIPLINE to THE DOORS, Keith TIPPETT and ROCK DUO MAGMA.

BAKU LLAMA’s debut album “Eris” is their first official release, although there is a similar online album called Devour My Evil Dream”. That one has a few different songs and no bass guitar yet added.

All three members have full time jobs, so the music is a labor of love for them. David plays a Fender Strat, Telecaster, and a Lindert guitar through Marshall and Boogie amps, also Guild and Taylor acoustic guitars. Ann plays Yamaha drums and does all the vocals on Eris”. She plays piano on "Discord" and "Discord Resolved". Vocally trained, Ann also reads music. "She is a soft hitting drummer and she can hang on tight to the music wherever David goes while jamming", says Rick when describing her style. Her vocals sound very medieval and mystic. Her singing is soft, just like her drumming.

Rick is a self-taught pianist and plays a Yamaha electric piano. If you ask him he will tell you he does not know how to play the piano. He certainly does have a natural talent, and the muse appears to be always with him. Corinna Whitehurst, Rick's wife, made the beautiful artwork for Eris”.

It is not easy to categorize “Eris” because it has elements of rock, jazz, ambient, folk and avant-garde. The band tries to create an intense and mysterious atmosphere with their music. The album was recorded live in studio during improvisations. Vocals & bass were added by Ann & David in studio.

================ Condensed Bio written by Hande Burg of progfiles.com =============

================ Updates by Rick Whitehurst, June 2024:

"Eris" was widely reviewed favorably and was a personal success for the band, but they split up due to Whitehurst's move from Los Angeles to Washington State, which unfortunately put an end to BAKUL LAMA.

In 2024 (?) the name was changed to BAKULLAMA (one word). Now it is an alternative progressive duo from Walla Walla Washington in the U.S., consisting of the BAKUL LAMA founder member, composer and keyboardist Rick Whitehurst and guitarist and bass player Kalvin Foster. The duo united by their interest in creating unusual compositions, soundscapes, and storytelling cinematic music... Sometimes even melodic 'songs'.

Kalvin Foster, a native Walla Walla resident, has played guitar in many bands in and around his hometown, including the metalcore band FOR WHAT MAY COME. He is a very experimental and innovative guitarist who brings with him some new ideas and sounds. He also plays bass guitar.

BAKULLAMA's music is a fusion of genres, odd instrumental passages with eclectic jazz, rock and avant-garde influences.

Despite their underground and outsider status, the band has managed to build a small following amongst fans of eclectic, progressive music who appreciate their unusual and laid-back approach to the very 'Mature' and somewhat complicated "Prog" genre.

The duo’s debut album was called “Sleepers” and was released in April of 2024. Two old unpublished songs from the original BAKUL LAMA were re-worked and utilized on the album.

I don't know if this is the correct thread for this, but could someone in the Powers That Be delete my rating for the Mike Dickson album The Music Box? I realised I only listened to Vol. 2, not the first. Embarrassed
